Motel 6 Dalton, GA

"If you’re black stay away from this Motel-6 as you will get a terrible treatment. I got a room for my employee when the semi truck he drove for my company broke down in the area. After staying in Motel-6 for 2 or 3 days, an indian lady refused him to sit in the lobby. She told him he wasn’t allowed anywhere on the property. He let her know he was their customer for several days. She wasn’t having it. She treated him horribly. If you’re black stay away. I will write to Motel-6 and BBB. On the last day I asked my employee to wait for me in the lobby so he could be picked up and he asked two different employees and they were fine."

"I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE!! Please do not stay at this motel! It's disgusting and not cleaned properly. It has mold/mildew buildup, blood stains on the bed and linen, other unregonizable stains on beds & linen. Under the beds are disgusting! Yes when staying at a motel while traveling, the beds are to be moved and inspected! All linen is to be inspected! If you're not checking for a CLEAN place that you can enjoy your night with family or yourself, then you may be picking up some unwanted guests such as bugs and or bed bugs! Aside from this, you can become ill due to these filthy conditions. Me and my son lodged one night at this motel in December 2023 while travelling for the holidays. The bathroom was disgusting, the linen had horrible smells, it's was absolutely disgusting! The following day after check out, I became very sick and was rushed to the E.R./diagnosis was pneumonia, followed by a six day stay at a hospital in mid East Georgia. When and if I connect the dots between the motel stay and pneumonia, I will be filing a lawsuit against this motel! I have my own personal pictures for my records, these pictures were sent to me this morning by someone else who lodged there last night! This is horrible and should not be tolerated as it is health hazards and risks and is very dangerous to anyone! I'm sure the staff does not sleep in these conditions, so why should a paying customer sleep in and with these conditions?! Careful where you Lodge!!"

"These are the rudest human beings I have ever seen anywhere running a business. We had a reservation and moved all our stuff in the car in order to stay here. The woman ran my debit card one time, which had no issues, and said it was declined. She refused to run it again for my room mate. Directed us to an at across the street that was closed. I could find no place open to do the atm, so I went in to tell her I needed her to run it again. She was very hateful and condescending, saying ("I do this one time only.)" She lied and said it was declined again. She was also very rude to my room mate's autistic child. The bldg appeared to be run down and dirty as well. My advice would be to stay somewhere else or sleep in the car at the rest area."

"I am a 65 y/o female traveling long distance with my 16 yr old granddaughter. At dusk, we stopped to rest. I paid for my room but noticed we would be walking down a dim lit corridor passing between 5 men outside of their room with door open less than arms length from them. I felt uneasy doing this. I returned to desk and ask for a room change immediately explaining situation. Manager told me they were his workers, nothing to worry about. I again attempted but felt very uneasy and fearful. I couldn't do it so I returned and ask again for a change. He threw both arms and hands at me yelling at me to "just get out". Never been treated like that by a business in my life!"

"I booked online through booking, when I arrived customer service was okay. In the process of me paying for my room the rep was bending my card and broke it. Fast forward to the rooms. The first one had bed bugs, the sheets had cigarette holes in them and dirt stains on it. The A/C unit was not working. Went back to change rooms the second room had roaches, the sheets had human and dog hair on them. The lights didn’t work. It was a huge hole in the corner. And it was actively growing mold in the bathroom. It was absolutely disgusting. The front desk literally tried to argue with me about the bugs and how nasty the rooms were. I ended up getting a refund and finding another room. I would not stay here unless they get some more staff that actually cleans and new management it’s horrible."
