Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus - Fort Moore, an IHG Hotel 3901 Victory Drive, Columbus, GA 31903

"Don't ever stay here. I tried to cancel my reservation which the receipt for my room said I could do before 6 PM. I called at 4 to cancel. "No, you can't cancel. You checked in online." I said, "Let me speak to the manager." Answer: "I am the manager." I had to call Corporate Guest Services. Corporate Guest Services said, "Of course they can cancel your reservation." They connected me back to the manager, Ashley, who said, "No, we will not cancel your reservation." I didn't stay there though they billed me for the night, so I have to go through the hassle of contacting American Express to dispute the charge. Mindless. I just read the "Response from the owner" who says: "Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel reservations once they have been checked-in." Unfortunately, that is absolutely not true. Think about it and draw your own conclusions. But find another Holiday Inn Express. Or a Hampton Inn. Or a tent."

"The AC in the room was not working, so we had to run to local Walmart to buy 3 box fans to help with heat. It was hands down the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel. Front desk was not too concerned with our complaints."

"This hotel is really nice. We stayed here to go to the base for a graduation from boot camp. This hotel is conveniently located so close to one of the entrances to the base. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. The breakfast in the morning was very good and clean. It consisted of real breakfast items, eggs, sausage, and all of the bagels, muffins, and pancakes. The room was clean and spacious. We did use the pool in the evening. It did have a funky smell a little bit. The water also had a weird texture a little bit. I think the smell and texture were the sun tan lotions baking in the water from previous guests. Of course, I always shower after using the pool anyway. The pool was nice overall. It was just that funky smell sometimes. I like the security of the hotel, we were leaving in the morning and packing up our cars super early. I needed my room key to even get in the front door. I like that added piece of security."

"We had a nice stay in town. The location was convenient by some nice activities to do with the family. I can't say the same for the hotel front desk. We have stayed 2 days and fresh towels were never given to us. We repeatedly requested but was refused because we had a no disturb sign on our door. I have never been refused service because I want privacy. THESE REGULATIONS WILL MAKE ME NEVER WANT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN !!"

"The hotel clerk was very friendly and our room was more than we expected. We utilize this brand of hotel all the time; however, this one was very spacious. We had a King Suite and it was very clean and they cleaned our room daily and we didn't have to ask them to do it. The only disappointing aspect of this area is you can see COVID took a toll on this area and they haven't recovered from it. Many abandon building around it; however, we felt very safe."
