"Dr. Serrano is using Gen Path labs for the lab work. Blue Cross Blue Shield does not seem to cover the lab work of this service provider. For this reason, get ready to deal with the out of network charges. If you decide to use an all-cash walk-in clinic instead of Dr. Serrano's office, that would save you about a thousand dollars in invoices for a simple annual checkup visit. According to Gen Path labs, my visit cost me about $1100 in labs. The invoice states that I'm a self-paying patient because the doctor decided to chose the out of network lab."
"Dr. Serrano is a very experienced women and baby doctor. She is very quick and intelligent yet genuinely listens when you talk with her. Every annual visit my check ups are quick and I barely feel anything, unlike other doctors that cause pain and bleeding. When I was close to time of having my 4th child, I was worried and felt something was going to go wrong. All tests showed all was healthy. She scheduled for me to deliver my baby a week in advance, said 2 weeks would be fine, but I didn't feel comfortable about that. I felt very confused, not wanting to have the baby sooner so she could develop fully yet feeling like something is wrong. She was patient with me and rescheduled me for 40 weeks. In the past I would carry to 41 weeks. I had reservations about her breaking my water since the baby would need to come within 24 hours of that time but in the end I knew she was right and I was fearful and that I needed to trust her. My nurse, who was so great in tending to my every need, allowed me to have too much epidural which made it so I couldn't feel a thing when it came time to push and that was one of the most important parts of delivery for me and the doctor knew this. She tried to help me to push naturally but I wore myself out and couldn't do a thing more. She kept asking to use the suction cup and I continually refused. When I was so tired and couldn't do a thing more, she took action and used the suction cup. I felt so guilty not letting her do it to begin with and she knew what was best. My daughter was born with beautiful coloring and due to the doctor's experience, my baby didnt have the usual bruising and swelling on her head from the suction cup. I thanked her so much for knowing what to do."

"This doctor is a keeper. Finally found a doctor who takes the time to really listen no matter how many patients she has. She's also very precise when explaining or recommending specific subjects and she makes you feel like she really cares. Her years of experience is very evident."
"Scheduled an appointment with Dr. Serrano in April at 5 weeks pregnant, she gave an appointment date, first appointment was confirmed an hour before arriving, I got there and it was rescheduled for a later date. Went in on that date I was rescheduled (now 14 weeks pregnant) (which was abt a month later), I was given a sonogram (she stated it was for a "confirmation of pregnancy", well I already knew I was pregnant), and was sent home and rescheduled for another apt 30 days later. Paperwork was given to me from my job for my doctor to fill out to be excused for the absences I'd miss due to doctor's appts, etc. This paperwork was faxed to the office in the beginning of May, now I'm suspended from work bc that paper work never got filled out. I called the office and it couldn't be found. So today, I'm 14 weeks still haven't seen a doctor and now without a job thanks to the unprofessionalism of this facility. I definitely recommend no one to this location."
