"Best doctor ever and will forever keep us good within our body no questions asked"
"I moved from out of town & nobody that I called would accept me as a patient because I was so far along in my pregnancy. Dr. Charity was the only doctor willing to take me and did it happily! He always answered any questions and remained professional and made me feel welcome as well as made my husband feel comfortable. Always kind & caring. I laughed so many times during my visits. Love the staff, all the ladies are so kind and caring. Don’t believe the bad reviews. Wait time is a little long sometimes but that’s to be expected with a good doctor that sees a lot of patients so make sure to have patience. He delivered my son, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. He was very thorough didn’t make me feel weird in any way. I wanted to get an epidural and he made me feel comfortable doing so. My son’s umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he didn’t freak me out about it simply did what he needed to and stayed calm! I would definitely have him deliver my next baby!"
"I experienced a very traumatic birthing experience with him in November of 2020. First, I have had preeclampsia with every pregnancy & he knew this. I started to experience symptoms of preeclampsia my 38th week & he ignored my pleas to be admitted. I had to cry in the office for him to eventually take me seriously. By the time he finally gave permission to admit me, my blood pressure reached dangerous levels. Not only that , but I asked for an epidural and Dr. Charity blatantly told me NO & that I needed to have my water broken first to speed up labor or I would need a c-section due to my preeclampsia symptoms. This was odd & something I’ve never heard before , but against my better judgment..i followed his lead. This lead to my baby dropping & it being too late for an epidural. I remember an attending nurse telling me that this was MY delivery & to always advocate for myself. Even she knew he made a poor call. My blood pressure got dangerously high to the point Dr Charity started to blame the nurses for the high jump. It was a very traumatic birthing experience. I hope & pray that no other mother has to experience what I did in his care."
"Anyone that has anything negative to say about Dr Charity or his staff, should just NOT leave a review. Of course, I wanted to wait until AFTER our son was born before writing a review so here it goes! Dr Charity is an amazing doctor! He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and understanding. He makes it his mission to ensure each patient is treated properly (to the best of his ability. He is still human so human error is inevitable). Charity is concerned about his patients. He does not pressure you to do what he wants you do. He will state his medical opinion and you can choose to pursue or deny it. We had regular check up through my pregnancy. The staff was/is friendly and supportive. They are there to do a job and they do it! Efficiently and effectively! Charity team works well together! After seeing him for so many months, he did not deliver my baby due to not being on call. That didn’t bother me for a few reasons: (1) He’s human with a life and deserves a break! He should not be required to be all of his patients beck and call, (2) I gave birth at Doctors and the doctor on call was Dr. King (a black male doctor - which was exactly what I wanted m). He was kind, humorous, and made the adjustments easier to accept. Overall, Charity will be my OB for as long as I reside in Columbia county! I love love love Charity & his staff! If you’re pregnant or just looking for an OB, try him out!"
"I originally gave a 5 star review which I've changed to a 1 star. I've had an issue since being pregnant. I saw him 3 times for the issue and finally found a medication to use of the issue persisted. It did. I was told to call if I needed the medication again...I called. I'm never able to talk him HIM to make sure my point is getting across EVEN WHEN I HAD MY BABY. I was in the hospital 3 days (Saturday...he didnt come, Subday didn't come, Monday didnt even come before opening the office so i left the hospital around 3pm...never seen or heard him. Then he made me come to HIM the next day. Another unnecessary visit. When I call the answer is always...schedule another appointment. I just started a job last week and can't keep taking off work when the medication that works is on file. I loved him as a doctor when I need to see him but unnecessary visits contribute to the rise of Healthcare costs. That's why a lot of companies even do televisits (again when a visit is warranted). It's unethical and therefore with a heavy heart I have to file a complaint I went through a telehealth provider (sesame care), got a video appt the SAME day, MEDS the SAME day. $46 copay"
