"I normally don’t write a review unless I had a terrible experience. Not in this case. I want to give Michael Robbins, the Leasing Manager at The Avalon of North Charleston kudos. I cannot say enough positive things about him. From the moment I stepped into the office, Michael greeted me with a warm and friendly smile, instantly putting me at ease. Not only is Michael incredibly knowledgeable, but he also took the time to listen attentively to my needs. Michael is always available to answer any questions or concerns I have. He is patient and understanding. I wish there was more Michaels in the world."

"I really appreciated how I was immediately greeted by Manuela. when I walked-in without even being someone that lives there or scheduled anything yet. Some other places I toured didn’t even make eye contact with me :/ The other leasing people also seemed friendly."

"We moved to Avalon at North Charleston end of January 24' and we could not be happier. We had a unique situation and the main office was patient and willing to work with us. We were fortunate enough to work with Ms. Marquez (Manuela) who was nothing but great! During our tour we talked casually about where I'm from and other small topics, and throughout the move-in process, which took a few weeks for us due to an issue on our end, she would remember things that we talked about and brought them up in conversation. Very professional to be able to remember those types of conversations and try and connect with us, she has great customer service skills. Throughout our move-in process we exchanged emails and phone calls, and she was able to respond back to us within the day, we never went multiple days without hearing from her after reaching out. I (we) can't thank you enough for the time, effort, and care that you put into making our move as easy as possible. We want to say thank you to the whole main office, but especially to Ms. Marquez. We appreciate everything you all have done for us."

"Well...... Good thing my house is not on fire..... lol gotta joke to keep from being even more pissed with this company and maintance team here at avalon of north charleston... let's see where do we begin .. put in Many work orders that either get labeled in portal as complete that have never been completed or if multiple work orders put in they will erase them off your account so it seems as if there is only one request about the issue. Called for emergency maintenance never received a call back. Dishwasher was replaced after months of not working and its half way out the hole of where it needs to be. Grass in the back yard is damn near up to your ankle when taking trash outside to the small trash can that only hold 2 big bags of trash that you pay monthly for. Also Don't forget about paying for pest control you will never see until u request on portal .. but still get monthly charges if you dont put it in the portal honestly speak to the current residents before moving here and signing a lease... some people have-been here for years and they can tell you some stories about evans and evans transitioning to avalon of north charleston Edited 10/10/23 Still no properly working a/c unit still freezing.... not even offered a window unit.. until able to be fixed even if outside temperatures are in the 70s or high 60s inside the home still gets up to 80 degrees without any a/c blowing... Edited 11/8/23 Still no ac or heat... Had to buy my own window units to have air for my children.... was informed by the lady's in the office that the ac repairs are not a Priority right now because its cold outside...I have to submit a request that my heater doesn't work.... I may just continue my updates until this issues is solved ... Just want to let people know what type of place they are considering to move to.. Edited 11/14/23 Still no heat or central a/c .... went into the office and just keep getting pushed off with lies, with no true answers on when this issues will be fixed .... 11/23/23 Edited. Still no working heat or central ac... was supposed to hear from a manager but yet to hear anything... 12/12/23 Still no heat or a/c 1/9/24 Edited Still no true word from the manager in this issue... was told by the maintenance man and the lady's in the office they have the "units to fix my unit but no vendors to install them ... there are many different places that can install a unit that i have seen personally... (When I stop paying rent until this is fixed because by law this should have been fixed already but I have-been just try to stay out the way because I know my temper..... ...or get code enforcement, they are going to want to either slap you with an eviction notice or start picking and/or making issues....) The list goes on.. It's honestly frustrating that people have to be treated this way and still be Responsible/Required to pay them rent on time without a little piece of white paper in your door. ."
