"I was lucky enough to have Fred pick me up at the airport and take me to my hotel. I had just arrived from 3 years in Peru, and had a phone that didn't work. My hotel didn't have shuttle service, but they were going to send a taxi that never arrived. Thank God for Fred. I ended up cancelling my reservation at the hotel I had booked a stay with, but didn't stay. Of course, they didn't return my money. But I had a beautiful room at the Double Tree and fantastic cookies. To top it off, they use Crabtree and Evelyn products. I was thrilled to get to take a hot shower in such a clean and beautiful shower with such great, soothing products. I would recommend Double Tree all day everyday. Thank you Fred."

"There was no pool, no hot tub, no included breakfast of any kind, and no coffee. The room (and bathroom) were small. The lights in the bathroom were blazingly bright, giving you the option of bathing with no lights or in the Sun. Only shuttle service was to the airport in a predominantly historical tourist city."

"I booked this room yesterday because we were doing a campus tour at The Citadel. When we arrived, the check in process was effortless and quick. The entrance was picturesque and our room exceeded my expectations. Renee, the bartender, made great drinks and was social with everyone at the bar. I appreciate the Starbucks in the lobby for breakfast. Taliyah at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. I’m usually a fan of another hotel chain brand but this experience really has me ready to make the switch."

"Had a great stay at the Double Tree Hotel. The check-in was quick, the room was super clean and comfy, and the bed was amazing. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel's location made getting around town easy. The staff were all about helping out with a smile, and both the gym and pool were top-notch. Loved it and can’t wait to come back!"

"Such a great experience at the DoubleTree! I’m allergic to down and didn’t realize until late at night that the pillows on our bed were filled with down. The hotel staff brought up new pillows and cases no problem and were super quick and nice about it. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and the location was very convenient for both downtown Charleston and the islands. Highly recommend for an affordable hotel and a great night’s rest! In fact, we stayed at a $400+ resort hotel the night before and I recommend this property more."
