"i give this place a one star, the walls are thinner than paper, and so are the floors. noise complaint? ignored. you hear dogs barking, running around, people walking and it all sounds like they are going to fall through the ceiling. theres roaches all throughout the halls and outside around the building, theres a mattress underneath the staircase, the garbage shoot is disgusting and hardly ever cleaned, same goes for the walls and the floors. if youre looking for a nice relaxing place for you and your family, go somewhere else"
"I loved my experience of living at Overbrook Lofts. The location is convenient to downtown, I-385, and the east side of Greenville. There are less than 30 units, each with 10-foot ceilings and abundant windows, which makes for a very peaceful and intimate space for living, despite being adjacent to downtown. The property management staff was great, and I got to know Tammy (Business Manager) and Jay (Maintenance Manager), who were both helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Overbrook Lofts."
"Where to even begin... so thankful for my time at Overbrook Lofts. I specifically chose this apartment due to the convenient location (literally right next to 385, and also downtown GVL) but also because of what it offers. Had absolutely no interest in living in a big complex that was basically a bunch of frat bro’s looking to re-live their college days. Overbrook lofts was a great place with great neighbors. Professionals and young families who were respectful of everyone around them. I made a few friends while living there. Tammy and Jay were incredible and deserve a raise for their support as a management team. Seriously. I’m a pretty high-maintenance person when it comes to apartment life and they were incredibly supportive and stuck up for you as a tenant. I wish I had them at my new apartment. Thank y’all for everything!"
"I have lived at Overbrook Lofts since January 2018. Originally I moved into a one bedroom and was there until I decided to upgrade to a two bedroom in September of 2018. I've never had issues living here, the neighbors are great, and the building is always clean and secure...the building is very pet friendly and walkable to places like Willy Taco, Stone Pizza, Tetrad Brewing, and much more. I renewed my lease in September of 2019 and very glad I did. Best place i've lived in Downtown Greenville thus far!"
"I want to start this review off by saying upon moving into Overbook lofts my roommate and I were overly excited for this amazing complex, especially with how close it was to so many amazing restaurant and downtown nightlife. That is were the excitement ended. Upon moving in we started off on the second floor and asked the management team upon moving in if we would have a problem with noise as my roommate and I were both nightshift weekend RN at a local hospital. We were guaranteed that every effort had been made to make the rooms as sound proof as possible. This was not the case because we were woken up daily on our weekend by loud music from every room around us and from the people above us living their daily lives(we went up and talked to the above tenants and they were a nice couple and tried to keep it down the best they could). My roommate and I took this by the waist side because we know that its just part of living in an apartment especially being the outlier that works night and sleep during the day 7 days a week. We moved on. But that same curtesy was not made for us, the tenant below us who had a small child made multiple complains about us living our daily lives and we were told we would basically have to move to a 1st floor apartment facing the opposite side of the apartment we had chosen or walk on egg shells for the remainder of the contract. We decided not to make waves and just to move to accommodate the other tenant especially with his small child he later move out early. While living on the second floor for the first 5-6 months of our contract I personally had a ceiling leak into my bathroom that went on for about 3-4 months with out repair. I slipped on wet spots in by own bathroom multiple time in the time it took to fix this situation. My roommate and I were not in any way compensated for either the move or the ceiling leak. Upon moving to the 1st floor of the apartment complex my shower had been incorrectly installed and leaked water all over the floor every time I took a shower. It took 2 weeks to fix and was never truly fixed, and during those two weeks I was unable to take a shower in my own bathroom (which was very inconvenient especially for the amount of rent we payed to live in a "Luxury Downtown Apartment") Even then I was not compensated for the inconvenience. With all of this happening my roommate and I went to the management team and discussed our unhappiness with the living situation and restated all that we had endured while living there and our wised to leave amicably at this point and simply go our separate ways. We were told that there would be a early move out fee that was so high it was almost as much as finishing out the contract in full. We decided to stay and finish out the contract and let them know that we would be moving out at the end of February when our lease ended (this was 3 months before the end of our lease). At this time we were not told we needed to make a written statement with our intention to move out and was lead to believe that the verbal statement was sufficient. Upon Coming to the Management team the week before we planned to move out we were told they needed a written statement and that we would be charge a prorated amount for March. At this point we just wanted out and was told that they would mail the march charges to our new address. We personally gave them our new address and reiterated it to them on three different occasion while we were moving out. No letter had come nor had we been reached by phone."
