"Items were STOLEN from our room by housekeeping THEIVES. Front desk worker (man) was rude and called me a liar about stolen items. REALLY? My daughters legos, squishmallow stuffed animal and a new pair of wool socks from Target with tags were left on the desk with 2 other pair of socks Saturday morning at 7am. After being gone all day at a convention, arriving back to the room at 8pm Saturday evening my key not working and having to visit the front desk I discovered the items missing. My room was also HALF cleaned. One bed made, the other not touched, no fresh wash cloths or towels, but they took the dirty ones away, and all of my toiletries from the shower and vanity around the sink including my TOOTHBRUSH were moved to INSIDE the sink basin. The front desk worker insisted on visiting my room to look through every drawer, trashcan, inside the refrigerator, behind furniture, etc because he said the items had to be there in the room. Ok, fine, he did and did he find the items?? NOPE! Said he would ask the housekeeping manager and have an answer AND solution for me in the morning at check out. At check out the next morning he was not there and the lady at the front desk (who was shocked and very nice about the stolen items) knew nothing about the situation, no notes were left but she assured me he would call me that day. At 4:45pm Sunday I called back for an update. I was told by the same front desk man as Saturday evening that he asked the housekeeper about the items, she said she doesn't know anything and I WAS LYING, because "HOUSEKEEPERS DON'T STEAL". I asked him if he really thought they would admit to stealing from guests because that seems like it would cause you fired from your job. He said he would not help me any further because there was nothing to help with. I told him if he wasn't going to help I would contact Wyndham Hotels corporate customer service for help and he said "go ahead, they won't do anything and they won't give you any money back" and promptly hung up on me."
"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the incredible Baymont Inn in Columbia and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The room was absolutely stunning, with modern decor and luxurious amenities. The bed was so comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was spacious and immaculately clean, with a rain shower that was pure bliss after a long day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast buffet that was included in my reservation. The variety of options was impressive, from fresh fruit and pastries to made-to-order pancakes. I looked forward to starting my day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a plate full of delicious food. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, offering recommendations for sightseeing and making sure I had everything I needed. Overall, my experience at the Baymont Inn in Columbia was nothing short of exceptional. The manager Mr’s. Mira, her attitude and her personality is amazing! She is so sweet is was very very attentive to our needs. Whenever she saw us, she would stop and talk with us and ask me about how things were going. She really cares, and to her you’re not just another guest. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Columbia. I can't wait to return!"
"Hotel isn’t in the best location but, that withstanding; rooms were clean, the staff was very nice and straightforward, they allowed my dog and I to stay for 14 days. I was supplied with all the essential needs and clean linen whenever I wanted cause my dogs paws kept making prints on the bedding! I see it says on some reciews that they have bugs, that is a complete lie because I didn’t see the very first and I was roomed near renovation work! I think the overall visit is worth the price and I was treated very kindly by the staff! Definitely a good place to stay!"
"Cannot recommend this location. It was generally unclean but especially the bathroom and bedsheets. Mold and grime in the bathroom and large oil stains across the sheets. Room wasn't vacuumed. There was a surprise deposit at check-in that I cannot recall being informed about. Only $100 and was returned a few days later but I'm sure that would influence many people's decision to stay here, plenty of options that don't require one. Breakfast was practically non-existent and what little was there was old and stale. Great location."
"My wife and I were going to stay there September 23rd 2023. We drove up to the hotel and there were vagrants walking around outside. Once inside the lobby, there were several people waiting at the front desk talking about how nasty their rooms were. Even with what we were hearing we took a chance and check in. Before even getting our luggage out of the car, we went to check the room and were greeted by an overpowering smell of urine. There was obvious bedbug residue on the corners of the bed between the box Springs and the mattress. The sheets were filthy with yellow stains and there were roaches on the bathroom floor. We learned that same day that the pool had recently been closed by the health department. We also saw that there were recent reviews about this hotel concerning the same filthy conditions. We did not see these reviews weeks earlier when we booked the room. We immediately turned our keys in and left the hotel and were lucky to find another one in the area. This is a hotel that I would stay away from at all cost. I have never walked into a situation like this and would not want anyone to encounter the same."
