"11/22/23 I filed a claim and was awarded $1200. Due to a mistake on their part, the money was not only sent in paper check form, but it was sent to the wrong address, despite confirming the correct address numerous times. We were told it could take 21 days to get the check, so when it didn’t come we called to check on the status of the check. We were then told that it was 21 business days, not just 21 days. At that point they had already received the check returned back to the company. No calls were made informing us of this. It took us following up again to be told this information. At that point we pushed for direct deposit, hoping to get this resolved before Christmas. But nope, not only have we still not received the check, but we won’t even get it until after the new year now, because someone denied the reimbursement saying we were already paid, and now the company had to open up a whole new claim to get this resolved. Now it has to go through the whole review process again before we can get our money. The kicker? I filed a claim last weekend and I’ve already been paid for it. Yet I’m still waiting on the one that is supposed to pay our December rent. This is completely inexcusable. You’re messing with peoples lives, and your policies and inability to talk to the back office allows you to get away with it. This could have been resolved had I been able to communicate with someone other than the front office. I even asked to speak to a supervisor numerous times, and wasn’t able to even once."
"Terrible!! Filed a hospital indemnity claim 2 months ago and every time I call it’s ALWAYS something different. More paperwork needed. Review dates keep getting pushed back. More paperwork needed again. Absolutely no communication!! The process is terrible and they just want you to give up on your claim."
"Absolutely the worst correspondence with a company ever. Lack of communication has almost made me stop doing business with them. I have been a policy holder since 2021 ."
"I'm still waiting to get paid on a Wellness Claim after 2 months of going back and forth! I don't recommend Aflac to anyone! Sign up at your own risk, and be prepared for lies, deception, runarounds, agents who are not consistent, etc."
"DO NOT BELIEF THE COMMERCIALS. Find another insurance company for disabity claims. There are other insurance companies that pay more for your money and won't cancel your disability policy when you turn 70. I filed a continuing disability claim on10/6/22. There was an error made on a document submitted to AFLAC. A correction was made by the person who submitted the information. It was faxed on 10/14/22. I brought this to the attention of three employees, two of who were alleged supervisors. The first employee said she could not receive the emails that I sent. She said she would follow up when she got home AND CALL ME BACK. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK THROUGH TODAY. The second employee apologized profusely for the first employee. She told me to upload the document and email it to her. I did. She claimed she did not receive it. ***I emailed the document to both employees from my phone and laptop and from two different email addresses. I asked if the uploaded document could be forwarded to claims. She said they would see both documents and make the correction. A day or so later, I spoke to a third employee. Nothing was resolved. On 10/31/22, I spoke to an employee who said the document had been received. However, no one had worked on it. On 11/1/22, I confirmed that she forwarded the information and it would take 4-5 more business days. I was not happy. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor did not speak directly to me, vut told the employee that he would contact me by the end of the day. Today, on 11/2/22, I spoke to someone who identified hersrlf as a manager. She's supposed to call back by the end of the day. I would get a policy from a different provider. However at age 68, most are not willing to insure me and/or the premium is too high. I'll keep looking."
