"Dr called and wanted us admitted. Hospital tells her we have to go through er. My 2 month old has to be around all the sick ppl bc "she needs her vitals" which they do as soon as you get into a room... it has to be so they can charge me more. Now we've been waiting 7 hrs back in the hallway of er for a room to be cleaned. Go to Baptist or lexington medical. This place is a rip off. I should've been able to go straight to admissions but they want more money out of me, a new mom that's just been laid off."

"They try to put your baby in a cage. The hospital is completely outdated and no one really knows how to use the equipment. I asked for an ultrasound and they said no one works that machine at night. They lied many times on what they done like running an IV Bolus. Marking the wrong weight of the baby. Reporting to the doctor that the baby lost weight but in reality she gained weight. Forgetting the gender of the baby. This hospital reminds me of an old Soviet era hospital. But I would’ve been lucky if that was the case. Hospital tried detain me as we refused service and wanted to leave early. Would never return to this place. They wanted me to wait 30 mins to sign an ama when I wanted to leave right away. Security waited outside my room until doctor came to have me sign the paper work. I would never return to this hospital again. I’d much rather drive to a better hospital where I know they have the proper staff and equipment."

"I hate leaving negative comments, especially about a hospital. I understand everyone is working, hopefully, as diligently as possible but time and time again Prisma is a huge let down. Waiting 6.5+ hours is unacceptable. I was never seen and I finally accepted my loses and went to LMC so my child could get IV fluid. That was just this most recent occurrence but I feel that’s about my experience every time I go. I shouldn’t be walking into a hospital already thinking about how quickly I want to get out of the building. Just not what you want for being the predominant children’s hospital in the area."

"We have had to visit this hospital often for procedures and emergency care since it is one of the closest to our home. I personally have not had good experiences with Prisma as an adult but the children’s hospital has been good to us. They have a playground for the kids and toys in different departments which is helpful. Most of the staff we have interacted with have been professional and nice."
