"The bed was a bit uncomfortable. There was no microwave in the room. Room service comes every x3 days and the coffee/tea area was not replenished. The layout of the room was nice. The shower was nice. Room service cleaned the room nicely. Free delicious breakfast. Nice, quiet location near IHOP and Cracker Barrel. I would recommend this hotel."

"Just a quick overnight stay. Staff is super friendly. Hotel and rooms are clean / neat. Rooms are slightly dated, could use a few paint touch ups, a few more USB outlets and such, but otherwise clean. Just an honest review."

"My girlfriend booked the hotel for our trip to Charleston for my birthday. Last year we stayed in Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant and it was fantastic but they raised their prices 100$ a night so we decided to go with this hotel instead. My girlfriend arranged for a surprise in the room for my birthday and to ask for an earlier check-in which was told that it was put into their notes. When we got there we were met with a very rude and standoffish greeting if you could call it that. Beverley at the front desk acted like she would have rather been anywhere else, leaning against the counter and acting like we were inconveniencing her by trying to check in. She also bluntly stated we were not going to check in early as though we never even called. This was not good customer service and was a stark contrast to the other Hyatt Place. The birthday greeting that was supposed to be there was never there like the conversation my girlfriend had on the phone never existed. Throughout the stay I noticed that other employees actually greeted me and made me feel like I belonged which was a very stark contrast to how we were treated by Beverly. The rooms were pretty nice apart from some mold in the bathroom and the fact that there was no microwave or safe. The housekeeping did a great job with towels. There were screaming kids all throughout the hotel without supervision, running up and down the halls, elevators, laying in the floor, and outside. The area around the hotel was very run down, we had to travel to either Charleston or Summerville just to feel safe to go to the store or somewhere to eat. All and all the experience was not great and we recommend spending the extra money to go to a better Hyatt Place within a better location and better customer service."
