"Moving here from Arizona and I am definitely satisfied with the choice that I've made. I moved here from school and the apartment manager has been nothing but great to us very welcoming and took great care of us. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a new area to live in. The people are just wonderful!"
"Update 6/3/2019 - The new change in management has quickly fixed my complaints and are in the process of rectifying many other issues. The new management team has been wonderful working with and has definitely shown that they are trying to get things back on track. Terrible place to live and poorly managed. Property manager constantly "forgets" about maintenance requests. When the maintenance workers are asked about said requests, they inform the residents that they are aware of the requests but the manager says that the resident "can deal with it." Parking is said to be enforced, yet resident parking is often over run by non residents. Siding and panels under eves falling down and not being replaced. Constant smell of marijuana smoke through out the apartments (even though it is "Drug Free"). Property manager is more worried about making a buck than attending to the needs of the current residents. Multiple requests for supervisor's contact information ignored/denied"
"Update 5/3/2019 - We did receive our $ 350.00 back from University Commons as of this date. Thank you to Denise the new manager and the owner(s) for following through and listening to us. You took the time to review our pictures and so forth. I surely wish prior to moving here from out of state that WE would have been able to work with you at that time rather than the previous manager Teri. All things aside, even the return of our deposit, watching and seeing steps are being taken to improve the community is awesome to see. Keep on that same track because the property is in a great location and will be thriving very quickly. What has been done thus far shows that there is commitment from the owner(s) to keep things going that same direction. We met Terri through our search prior to moving to Greenwood, SC. She had what turned out to be a total of two months to have our place ready with us even calling and verifying twice that it was in fact ready. Once we arrived in the parking lot at University Commons in Greenwood with a loaded Penske moving truck that is when WE FOUND out our place was not ready..... Now, she did IN FACT KEEP OUR DEPOSIT without refunding it. The only things that worked when we finally got into our place WAS: .Toilets, Fridge, electricity and the a/c. No stove, no, so dishwasher, no washer and dryer unit in the home as stated by Terri Manager of U/C. She tried to explain how behind in maintenance they were. It still does not excuse the lies that she kept coming up with as to WHY our place was not ready. Furthermore, we had items stolen from our unit, when we stopped and talked with Terri, she acted as if it did not matter, however was demanding that we let her know IF we speak to the police and file a report to let her know what the police say. Seems ODD to me. It was quite obvious that she does suffer from some sort of drug addiction. She would have trouble speaking clearly for a minute or two and then she would start repeating things that were discussed only minutes before. Business wise, terrible terrible terrible experience. THEY STILL OWE US $500.00 FOR OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. I cannot get a call back from anyone nor have I been contacted by anyone since leaving U/C. WE DID PROVIDE the mailing address to Terri as she DID REQUEST, and shocking, I know, U/C and the company Owner/Owners still have not returned any of my calls. How can you run a business in that manner like that? We moved down here, work and earn a living here and get treated like this? By the way, it's a legal job and I also pay taxes. I challenge the owner/owners to do the right thing here. It is illegal for her to keep our security deposit as our apartment was non-livable, uninhabitable. The property owner needs to make this right. Let's cut to the chase. It is obvious Terri was fired, with that said, I am also guessing, logically, Terri pocketed security deposits and perhaps the owner/owners found out. $500.00 might not be alot to the owners, however, simply put, they NEED to make this right. It begs 2 questions here: 1. Will the owners make this right and be professional regarding Our security deposit with a 100% refund? 2. Really, how much did Terri really scam from people at U/C, including the owners. I don't want to hear a"I'm Sorry,' from the owners, they should do the right thing, step-up and return our security deposit. Will they correct this issue? We'll find out. Thank you, Dave Moshenko"
"Very trashy and poorly kept, be prepared to smell marijuana 24/7, went through at least 3 different office employees in a 12 month period, the last lady was very unconcerned and unprofessional. She let us sign the lease over after complications with our ex-roommate however said we would still be responsible if anything were to happen. We went back to make sure everything was done to end the lease and she lied straight to our faces about a situation that definitely still concerned us."
