Reviews
"As a concerned military personnel, I must express my deep dismay at the lack of simple respect and care at the clinic. Our soldiers deserve better treatment when seeking medical assistance. It is disheartening to witness the disregard for their well-being and the essential service they provide to our nation. We must address this issue promptly to ensure our servicemen and women receive the care and respect they rightfully deserve."
"I’ve been in the military for over 20 years and I honestly feel that this is the poorest ‘care’ I have received at an installation medical facility. Everything the other reviewers complain about has happened to me at this clinic in one way or another with one provider or another multiple times over the 2 + years I’ve been here. Poor treatment is the norm, good experiences happen occasionally but are aberrations. The 0600 call-in lottery is unconscionable. It does not function and is inappropriate as it operates on a first-come-first-serve principle rather than a triage method where immediacy of need is considered. The harsh, rude, and/or dismissive behavior displayed by multiple providers and staff is indicative of much larger operational shortfalls. BLUF: This clinic cannot properly serve the size population it is currently serving with the resources that it has. Permanent Party members should not be seen in clinics that serve large TRADOC units simultaneously. The needs and numbers of these disparate populations are vastly different. If we cannot properly support Permanent Party on-post, then Fort Gordon should be designated a remote location so that SM’s can enroll in Tricare Prime Remote. Don’t just leave a review here. Go to the patient advocate office on the 2nd floor of DDEAMC and file a complaint. Give your command copies of the complaint. Ask to speak with command under open door policy. The more the function of this clinic disrupts commanders’ ability to achieve mission, the more they will raise the issue with Garrison and INSCOM leadership. Look up your hometown congressman’s website- most have an online forum for filing complaints. File complaints with your congressman. It won’t bring immediate change, but it will start putting pressure on garrison and command to fix this. Complaining at the clinic will do no good. This is a complicated resource issue. There are WAY too many service members for the number of providers available. There is no way anyone can get adequate treatment under the current operational resources. The plan now, is for permanent party to be transferred to Huber Clinic in January, but they haven’t explained where any additional providers are going to come from, so it sounds like permanent party will get a separate building, but the root problem (number of providers) will remain. (Supposedly, the providers currently doing PHAs at Huber are going to reduce PHAs and start doing sick call appointments. PHAs will then be handled in occasional SRC rodeos). Unsure if it’s happening on Fort Gordon, but Garrison leadership should be hosting town halls. Show up and start asking hard questions during the Q&A. The more of us who do it, the more pressure there will be."
"Dr. Riley, if you can even call her a doctor, was the worst PCM I’ve seen and so infinitely rude, uncaring, and dismissive, and unhelpful. After telling her exactly why I was there and all of the symptoms I’m experiencing, she asks “so why are you even here? What do you want me to do about it?” Ma’am, do your job or get out of the healthcare field with that attitude. It’s your job to help. On top of all of the other awful experiences she gave me in one singular ten minute visit, which is a lot, please just avoid her at all costs."
"The soonest appointment I could get is a month and a half away. The clinic needs more Doctors or start sending soldiers to off post clinics. This shows a big issue with trying to take care of your body."
"I went in for having difficulty breathing and I came in for treatment, I felt like they wouldn't even want to listen to me. Apparently a dramatically higher heart rate, difficulty breathing and confusion are symptoms of seasonal allergies"
