"Unfortunately, we have had to make multiple visits to this place. Our last visit was about a week ago during after-hours. I am beyond thankful that we have access to places like this at all times but I just wished this place cared more about their patients/ parents and not just a dollar bill in their pocket. Before visiting last week, our regular vet sent us in on 10/6 and we had the same type of experience with both Dr. Alison Calfee (seen last week) and Dr. Becky Brown (seen a few times in October/November/December). Some advice for CVETS: use lay language to those who seek your care and be empathetic to your clients. I understand that medical jargon is a necessity for the professionals, but it can be confusing for the rest of us. We realize you do this every day but also, we care about our furry kids and going to see you is not something we do for amusement. Your contradictory statements told us right away that we could not trust what you said. Some advice for those who love their fur babies: do not let them intimidate you with their negative attitude and confusing language. Ask questions, be firm, take notes, prepare in advance, bring a friend/ family member if possible, and always advocate for your family! Our babies do not have voices so we must do what we can for them. I sought medical advice from different veterinarians who gave me better alternatives and because of this I was able to enjoy and provide my loved one with another year of quality-of-life care."
"the vet care here was really professional! They got my dog in very quickly and Dr Gosink was very experienced with his problem and offered a non-surgical solution for his back pain. The waiting environment is very comfortable and the treatment was reasonably priced for all the care my little buddy received. I would absolutely go back for an emergency or similar problem. They have a new rehab doctor for alternative treatments such as laser, acupuncture and pool PT! She was really professional and kind!"
"I’m not exactly sure how to put into words my experience with CVETS, but suffice it to say that if my sweet Ava girl had to have cancer, I wouldn’t have wanted any other team to treat her. Dr. Brown and her staff are amazing. Not only knowledgeable, but kind and sincere. If I had questions, my calls were returned personally by her (which I can’t say is true for my own doctors). I can’t tell you how much it means when you are going through something like this to have people like them on your side. Our fight with hemangiosarcoma is coming to an end, but I am thankful every day for the time Dr Brown gave us with our girl and for her guidance through this process. We will miss you Dr Brown and friends - I hope to never need your oncology services again, but if I do, I am comforted by the fact that you will be there."
"CVETS came thru for us again! They saved the life of our new puppy. I consider them the best. We are loyal repeat customers. We take all our cats and dogs to them when emergencies happen after hours. We were so frantic and anxious. The veterinarian actually called at 2:30AM to check on our fur baby. He went over everything in detail again to reassure us that our puppy was going to be fine. CVETS is the absolute best emergency pet hospital. Again ….THANK YOU"
"We are so impressed with CVETS in west Columbia. Our sweet baby had bladder cancer and got really bad over the weekend. His normal vet was closed and we knew his time was short. The staff at CVETS was so kind and so compassionate. They put us in a private room to spend time with him before he was put under. They let us have all the time we needed. The nurse and the doctor were so kind and reassuring. They had tears in their eyes as well. They listened and were so gentle with our Scruffy. Their prices were honestly very good. They handled getting him cremated for us and showed us the same compassion when I picked him up. They are top notch."
