"From what I am seeing, looks like a majority of the poor reviews are from folks who either A.) have no idea how automotive shops work and were upset that they weren’t the number one priority. Or B.) people who brought their own parts and were upset with labor. Typical entitled Charleston. I will say that I have personally brought at least 10 different vehicles here and every one of them was repaired on time and if they were running behind, they let me know. I would make one recommendation. I wouldn’t allow customers to bring their own parts (unless they’re a vendor/business). Now, bringing your own oil and filter is one thing, but if they're bringing control arms and bushings we all now they won’t be warrantable and of course they want the cheapest labor rate possible. If it were my business I wouldn’t do any more of those tickets. lol There are plenty of folks who are happy to allow shops to provide the parts and warranty it. I don’t think you’d lose any business but you’d definitely eliminate plenty of headaches."

"Very disappointed. Would not recommended, complete scam. I was charged $124.00 to install a new car battery. And YES, just install. I brought my own battery, and timed them from the moment they took my car into the shop. It took them 14 minutes….and $124 later. Sadly, this company and team is NOT honest. $124 for 14 minutes to easily swap a battery. @management team, I would love for you to somehow make this right? This is NOT how you run a business."

"I read the reviews but disregarded them deciding to give them a try. I called the night before and asked about availability for the next morning to have 4 tires balanced. All clear for a 7:30 am appointment the next morning. Perfect! I arrived on time the next morning and my car was quickly taken back. Shortly thereafter, the very nice person working the desk approached me and told me the tech had damaged a tire driving the car on the lift and that they were replacing the damaged tire at no charge to me. Score!! Not exactly, but that I also needed 3 new tires due to some outer wear on the remaining tires. I explained that I just wanted them to balance the remaining 3 tires only, not replace. They told me the new tire was on the way from North Charleston. Just for the heck of it I asked them how much it would be to replace 1 tire to match the other new one they were installing for free. The cost for one tire was $534 for a Continental tire. $534 dollars for one tire! Not! It was now nearly 9:30 am at this point. I said just balance the other 3 tires only. I left the business and told them to call me when it was ready. Sometime at about 12 pm I hadn't heard back so I called them and I was told the car was ready, that they had mounted and balanced the new tire and my cost was $39. I reminded them the tire was on them/free and asked about the other 3 tires being balanced. They said they didn't balance them because the tech said they were waiting for me to make the decision to replace the remaining three tires. I promptly explained that I had previously told them to balance the other 3 tires only, not to replace. They said they'd get on it. About 1 hour later I visited the store to check on my car and the tech was just pulling it back into the store and on the rack. I told them to call me back when it was finished. They called me back about an hour later. All together this simple tire balancing job cost me at least 5-6 hours without my car. My cost out the door was about $60 dollars or so. So this was my first and last time using Honest 1 Auto Care. Proceed with caution!"

"I had a flat tire at a gas station 700 ft from Honest-1, and when I called for help, they sent someone immediately. The air hose at the gas station didn’t work, but their portable one did, and the guy didn’t even charge me since it was so quick and so close (and maybe bc I mentioned I’m a teacher). My tire’s fate is TBD, but if it needs a replacement, I’ll definitely go to Honest-1. Thank you guys so much, and I will certainly use your services next time I inevitably need a tire change."

"This is the first mechanic shop I’ve ran into that did what they said they’d do on time and at a reasonable price. My vehicle sat with the dealer for two weeks and at the end of the two weeks, when nothing was done and I was out of the car for those two weeks, they finally called me to tell me the repairs would be $6000. I called HONEST 1at 7am-brought the car in at 10am. At 10:20 the problem was diagnosed (sensors). Parts were ordered and delivered within 20 minutes. 30 minutes later my car was running like new again for less than 500 bucks. Thank you all for your Honesty and integrity! I’m a customer for life now and so is my fleet."
