"We had a great two nights in the “Light and Lofty” in January. We were the only people there, but it was quiet and beautiful. We were able to see all of animals, and the grocery store and Lake Lure were literally minutes away. Karen was a great host and was always in touch throughout our stay!"
"We were in the last tiny cabin and it was beautiful and VERY clean, but we had no table to eat at, or sit at or grill outside to cook on. When we tried to use the toaster oven inside, it would trip the power to the whole cabin, so we would have to go outside and flip it back on. I ended up throwing all of our food that we were trying to cook in the trash. There was a big pile of gravel in front of our cabin in place of the table and grill which is understandable with them adding more, but there was plenty of room for a grill and a table to sit at and enjoy nature. We were the only cabin without them and were very disappointed. Also, If you have any kind of disability with mobility issues, do not book if you want to walk the property and see the animals. It's a beautiful place but EVERYTHING is on a hill and fenced in and drive a truck or SUV! I was very disappointed."
"My husband and I stayed here the last weekend in May because we were visiting friends who live nearby. What a special place it is! The owners were quick to respond to my texted questions and Jack, the groundskeeper, was so warm and helpful. The cabin was wonderful! It was immaculately clean and generously stocked with everything a family could want for a memorable stay! The bed linens and towels were of nice quality, too. There were s’mores ingredients, bubbles, etc., and even some basic cooking condiments. I could tell that much thought was put into every detail! When I realized I’d forgotten coffee creamer, I was thrilled to discover some in the kitchen cabinet! We also loved that we could bring our beloved dog with us. All our kids are grown now, but we would have loved to have a place like this to bring them to when they were young."
"Staying at The Farmstead was sweet in so many ways. Both my toddlers have not stopped saying “tiny home” since we left. Not only did the tiny home have everything we need for cooking, but there were farm-fresh eggs on the counter when we arrived. You could easily see that everything was thought of. Each detail is accounted for! We took a trip out during the winter and we had such a great time connecting and resting. I can’t wait to see what it will be like in the summer with the kayaks, etc. Thank you Farmstead. We love y’all!"
"We absolutely loved our stay at Farmstead!Adorable little cabin. Staying in a tiny home was something I have always been interested in trying. The loft is really fun and cozy to sleep. I don't fish but you could fish if you wanted. All Basics were provided, cooking pots, pans, gorgeous dishes, knives, dish soap, towels, cable, fireplace, lighter, tin foil, very comfortable firm bed, skylights up in the loft, chandelier lights, fireplace was awesome .Fully functionally designed kitchen, books, games, cards, very cute decor, .BBQ grill was outside, and I really liked the locking feature by code in the door, was easier to get in and out I think and I didn't have to worry about a key. So many windows and lots of air and light The kids had a blast playing around and feeding the farm animals. Excellent communication with the property owner/builder. Staffs are very helpful and kind, and we learned so much about the animals from them, not to mention got to help feed them . We were trying to explore the place most of the time .Did bonfires at night and just enjoyed the peaceful nature. The cabin itself is so well stocked and has everything you need. The cabin was clean and it had everything we needed to make a nice dinner and get a restful night's sleep. Would highly recommend this tiny house. Will Definitely be booking it again."
