"We have been vacationing on Emerald Isle since 1976. Now when we go we choose our vacation rentals through Emerald Isle realty. Their website is very user friendly. They have a chat option if you have questions. The rental process and checking in , have always run smoothly. Not to mention they have a wide variety of homes to choose from- we always find just what we need for our family."

"Our family had a pretty miserable trip in our vacation rental with Emerald Isle Realty. We stayed in Island Oasis Too. The location was great being ocean front, however our rental house was completely roach infested. They did send out an exterminator, however one treatment was not enough to manage the issue. Roaches were everywhere to the point where we couldn’t cook in the kitchen, walk through the living area without them at our feet, or even stay there comfortably for the week. Emerald Isle Realty was very nonchalant about the situation and didn’t offer any recompense for what we experienced. We expected so much more from our vacation and hope whoever reads this doesn’t make the same mistake by booking with them."

"We arrived to a dirty condo- sand on surfaces and a dirty bathtub. The property smelled of marijuana as we would come and go. The trash was piled up in the middle of the parking lot for several days and it smelled horrible. The condo was run down and didn't look as it appeared online. I found dirty dishes and dirty silverware. I will never rent from EIR again. I drove to their office and was given some gift cards as a means to make up for the dissatisfaction. I asked if we could be relocated and was told no. DO NOT use this rental company. The lady who tried to help was kind and tried her best but in the end, we were dissatisfied with the overall experience."

"We have traveled all along the Outer Banks for what we hoped was the best option for our annual family summer vacation. This year I believe we found it on Emerald Isle, and by using Emerald Isle Reality as our rental agent. Their team of sales and maintenance associates were simply extraordinary, from the beginning of our search, through our stay and the rebooking process! The Crystal coast and this agency were perfectly matched for our needs and please consider this my family and my highest recommendation for your next summer vacation!!!"

"The people at the office were very nice! With that being said at 5:10pm we still were not in our unit that we rented. I contacted the office yet again and she gave me code to get in. About 10 minutes later we saw two women in a vehicle laughing and taking selfies next to our vehicle as we were unloading. Little did we know that was our cleaning people however they said they were checking on the property to see if other people had cleaned it. When we went up there it hadn’t and if it was it was horrible. Sand and papers on floor! Bathroom toilets never cleaned. Table had sand all over it. Torn material hanging from under twin bed. Laundry bifold door was off hinges. My husband fixed that! Such a pretty and comfortable couch however with it being white it was stained up. The view was incredible there and I loved the location just expected better for what we paid for and how it was rated."
