"It's ghetto.. the super is very lazy with a nasty attitude"
"Called numerous times to inquire about renting. Management is horrible: ignored my calls."
"Addendum: I moved out of the apartment on 10/17/20 and received my security deposit in full on 11/25/20. I had to send a barrage of emails requesting for the return of my security deposit, and I made sure to CC my Veterans Affairs caseworker in each correspondence (I'm pretty sure they felt more inclined to refund my money due to the fact that a government entity was monitoring the email traffic). I would encourage every person who rents from Fairfield to thoroughly document the unit before vacating i.e record videos and take pictures. According to previous tenants, this company will try to nickel and dime you out of your security deposit. Google search the other properties Fairfield manages, you'll notice a theme in the complaint history. Be cautious! _________________________________ "Luxury apartments", I think not! I have lived in this building for two years, and my experience here has been problematic since day one. The Superintendent fixes nothing, and there's no way to submit an actual work order to keep him accountable for making repairs in a timely fashion. The apartments are poorly insulated and constructed. My upstairs neighbors are nuisances, and I've had to call the police on them several times. They actually moved into their apartment on a Tuesday at 8PM, (I had work the following day) and they didn't stop assembling their furniture with loud power tools and hammers until 1AM. I called the police, reported the matter to management, and management did absolutely nothing about it. The upstairs tenants also have verbal and physical disputes on a regular basis, and their noise leaks into my unit (I have audio recordings to confirm this) . I have brought the recordings to managements attention, and again, they've done nothing to resolve the issue. To the best of my knowledge, my experience in this building is not isolated. A couple of months back, there was a fight in the lobby between two tenants related to an ongoing noise complaint. As a matter of fact, my next door neighbor calls the police on her upstairs neighbors at least once a week due to their excessive noise. I am a working adult that is also in graduate school, and this environment is not conducive to productivity and relaxation. Management (Fairfield Properties) is completely useless. They barely answer phone calls, and if they do, l have to tolerate poor customer service and attitudes. These apartments are grossly overpriced for what I have dealt with. I anxiously await the day I move out."
