"I did the 5.8 mile loop counterclockwise and found it overall enjoyable. About 3 miles of the trail runs alongside streams which is very peaceful. There’s about a mile or so at the end of the loop that’s a little boring through a logged area where the trail is sometimes difficult to follow due to it being overgrown or the logging roads that cut through the area. There was also a spot about a mile into the hike where there were several trees down blocking the trail. I did run into a group down the trail a ways though that were actively working on trail maintenance."
"These trails were listed as MTBike trails but there were sections that were really overgrown down towards the campground end. Most locals we talked to stated they do not see many mountain bikers. Needless to say there was a bunch of hike a bike but it was worth it. Some really beautiful views, just be ready for a really good work out."
"we did the 5.8 mile loop. half the trail is fairly ugly with a lot of logged areas and oil wells. but the other half by the stream side and through the rocks is gorgeous. (if you go around August there are a lot of blueberries in the ugly area though)."
"Beautiful trail, and the split loops makes it easy to plan either a short day trip or a longer overnight trip. The campground itself is also quite beautiful as well as secluded, being reachable only by hiking or boat. My only issue is it's very poorly marked in spots, and between this and being covered completely in leaves at some points it can be very easy to lose the trail. As cell phone service is non-existent for much of the trail and I had trouble getting a satellite signal on my personal locator beacon and on my GPS, this can be troublesome. Overall a wonderful trail, especially for anyone who needs to just get out of the city for a night."
"Great place for hiking and camping plus you can mountain bike here. Trails are well marked and maintained and are intermediate difficulty for hiking and a biking. Lots of large rocks to see and the Morrison run has a little waterfall worth visiting. Fishing and hunting would be worth it here also."
