"Big issue I have with Leslies is they make you crazy with the promotions and "sale" prices. I walked into the Commack store today to buy some algaecide. Should I buy the quart or the half gallon I asked myself? Since I had a $5 dollar reward certificate I decided to buy the half gallon. I get to the register and ask if this is the best deal on the algaecide and the person at the register doesn't have an answer. She rings it up and my wife asked about the 20% discount available on the quart. As it turns out the 20% discount on the quart plus the $5 dollar certificate make the quart a better buy than the half gallon. Now the person at the register starts to refund the half gallon cost. Now she starts to ring up the quart with the 20% discount. I check the receipt and notice the missing $5 dollar certificate. I point this out and I'm told it was used to buy the half gallon and can only be used once. This alone makes not sense since I just returned the half gallon and didn't even leave the store yet. The point being even their own employees don't understand what's going on with the promotions and how they are presented. Fortunately there was one person there who provided the $5 dollar discount anyway but also confirmed that they could not use the certificate presented in the first purchase. This alone makes no sense. I don't understand why they simply don't price the chemicals and equipment sold at Leslie's at a meaningful price and stop all this confusion. I have to tell you this is enough to stop me from buying my pool supplies from Leslie's and simply buy it on the internet for the best price or go to another local supplier in my area where I don't have to try to figure out what is the best way to buy this stuff at Leslie's."

"The quality of service is horrible!!! I was made to wait from 12:00pm to 5pm. No one showed up. The so called tech that was supposed to repair my heater came at 7 pm. No called to say he going to be late. He looked at heater moved some wires around and said he has to come back tomorrow at 10:00 am. No tech. This company has horrible horrible service. Time for the BBB."
