"I can’t rave enough about the training done here. I decided not to go with train and board but opted in for private lessons so I can see how it’s done. I would like to also say I had already at this point gone through 15 plus lessons including private and reactive lessons with other trainers. I was at my wits end cause nothing was showing improvement and I was working with him around the clock. I showed up to Januarys first evaluation meeting feeling like this is hopeless. What we discussed made me finally feel like there was hope. She didn’t sugar coat things and she showed me what to start working on before our first training session. My dog is almost a transformed dog he has his moments but my god the improvement is incredible. We went from barely being able to go on a walk without him losing it over every single thing that moves and not caring of who I was is now going in wooded areas and coming back to me when called. It’s incredible what January does. I had the opportunity to see her transforming not just my dog but others that she saves from rescues and shelters. I am in awe and fully recommend her!"
"January is such a kind and compassionate dog trainer! Despite being neutered, our little 1 yo rescue, Lego, was marking all over our house. He is afraid of his own shadow too. Just after our first training session we have seen a remarkable difference in his confidence. I am happy to report Lego has not marked in the house in 2 weeks!!! He has also mastered Come & Sit. We're working on Place everyday until our next session on Heel. January is teaching us the skills we need to help Lego in a simple, kind fashion in order for us all to be comfortable. The valuable skills she is sharing with my family of 4, including my 9 yo human son, are helping us train our 6 yo Doxie at home on our own as well. The knowledge January shares is priceless! We'll be using what we've learned it to help our dogs be the best they can be!!!"
"The owner of The Dog Bar, January helped my dog when no one else could. I had a lovely German Shepard named Dexter. When I moved to a new house, he became aggressive even with the training I previously got him. I tried everything to help dexter. I went to countless vets, trainers and non-kill shelters and they all told me they couldn’t help and he should be put down. January gave my dog another chance at life. I’m thankful for her and her business. Dexter was a very difficult pup to train but, she worked her magic and shaped him up. She put a lot of hard work and love into him and now after a few months of dedication he is up for adoption and well loved."
"The Dog Bar is absolutely amazing. We had both of our shepherds there for the 3-week board and train program and they received so much love, praise and training by January - she’s the best dog trainer in the area. Our dogs have excelled in their commands, they have happy, lovable spirits and truly enjoy showing off their skills. January knows exactly how to train all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. She keeps her facility spotless and has an a great team working for her from kennel staff, dog walkers and her groomer is awesome."
"I have an 11 month old Boston Terrier that was experiencing bad behavioral issues. My previous Boston did not have these habits so I was at my wits end on what to do. I have known January for awhile and have witnessed first hand the impossible with other dogs. I reached out to her and went over all the issues my baby was experiencing and what I was looking for overall. She went over everything in detail with me and what she was going to concentrate on. I decided to do a one week board and train. During his visit he had some GI issues that we've been dealing with previously and she gave me her recommendations and we switched up his diet and his stomach is much better. She also noticed an extreme overbite my dog had that my vet completely missed!! I received photos and videos during his stay and actually stopped by one of the evenings to check on him and work with him on his commands. I couldn't believe my eyes! He was a different dog!! The time and effort January puts in for each individual dog is like no other. Her and her staff treated my baby like their own. Though I missed him very much I knew he was in great hands. He's now been home for almost 4 days and I can already see a difference. You have to continue to work with your dog once you get them back. Work on their commands and don't slack! He's a completely different dog and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of January. If you're about to give up and you don't know what to do please reach out to her. She is incredibly knowledgeable on all breeds of dogs and their specific needs. I now know if I ever need help in the future she is just a phone call away. I wish I could give her 10 stars!! Thank you Dog Bar for taking care of Lenny and all the training you put in to make him a better well behaved dog!!"
