"Out of town visitor. They were very nice here. I had a grilled chicken deli sandwich and it was delicious. I kept going back and forth about what I wanted to order...couldn't make up my mind lol...but the guy who took my order was nice, friendly and patient."
"Saba deli & grocery makes delicious sandwiches, a nice variety of drinks, and a very friendly staff. I work in the Brooklyn Public Library and my day begins with a beverage and sandwich from Saba."
"A cold Sweet Thing sandwich is pretty fantastic. Hot food off the grill is good too. Can get crowded/slow in there when it's busy."
"Not upfront with pricing and not responsive to customer feedback. I ordered a sandwich on a wrap which I assumed was the same price as on roll (as it is with almost every other bodega in my area), was informed it was $3.00 when he went to ring it up. I asked if they could then make it on a roll, and they said they had already made it on a wrap. I waited 3 more minutes as they then made the wrap. I asked the man why it was falsely advertised, to which he responded very defensively that I should have read the signs (which were turned around so that customers could not see them). I told him that, and he unapologetically turned around one of the signs and said that I should have asked about the price. No apology or discount. I took one bite out of the wrap (which was uncut, just a minor detail) -- there was a string of some kind of clear liquid that came away with my first small bite. I was so worried he had spit in it that I threw the rest of it away. Two stars because that first bite DID taste really good. Fine to go here, just be careful."
"A good small convenience store, but the one down the street is bigger, nicer, has better quality products, more of them, and sells beer. This place is always a hard pass for me. But there's nothing inherently wrong with it. UPDATE: Crimminy, check out that passive aggressive personal attack of a reply to my comment, they even threw god in there! A bit defensive, wouldn't you say? I guess 'I like the other store' is not acceptable commentary. Honestly, a big reason that I don't go in here is simply because I am a vegetarian, and the deli has poor ventilation so it is always permeated with the smells of cooking meat, which I don't like. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that."
