"I very bad experience I had with this, 1. Expensive 160 per night. 2 cool rooms. 3. Small bed. 4. Broken Bathroom. 5. The most important they do not have parking. So please don’t ever visit it."
"I wouldn’t recommend staying at Hotel Pergola. The bedding has cigarette burns. The room smelled of smoke and Clorox. The heater is broken which is terrible because it’s cold during the Winter. The bathroom was full of someone else’s hair. The chair was wobbly so I was too scared to sit on it. It was also stained. The area is VERY loud. You can hear the room next door so don’t expect to get any sleep. The walls are literally falling apart. BUGS ARE FLYING AROUND IN THE BATHROOM. The hotel is located 11 min from AMC theater."
"I wish we had taken pictures to add to this review, but we were so disgusted and left so quick we didn’t get any. Avoid this hotel at all costs. We had an unexpected long layover after an international flight and this place was $178 a night which seemed decent for the area. The pictures online do not match the reality of this hotel. It should be considered false advertising based on how vastly different it is in real life. We aren’t the kind of people who have incredibly high standards, especially when traveling and needing somewhere to stay short notice. The entire building smells like cigarettes/ marijuana/ Clorox. The first room they gave us was occupied by someone else, so they did immediately switch our room and apologized. No big deal to us. However, the second room was awful. We were afraid to touch the bed (or really anything else in the room for that matter), the night stands were falling apart, the bathroom was gross, the sheets had burn holes and stains on them, there were holes in the curtains, holes in the walls, stains on the walls and floor, the fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling, I could keep going. It looked like a hotel from a horror movie. We weren’t even there an hour and they do not do any refunds so we are out $178. We explained to them why we were leaving and they kept trying to get us to try a different room, but at that point our mind was made up that this wasn’t going to work. We needed a place for 15 hours and it was so bad that we were willing to lose the money and go somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and just stay at one of the airport hotels. We paid $246 for a room at the Hilton instead and it was immensely better. We will also be calling our credit card company to dispute the charge because it’s the principle of the matter that they do not deserve money for what they are providing. I have never walked out of a hotel so quickly and been okay with just potentially losing that kind of money. We would not have been able to sleep or get any sort of rest, which is all we wanted after a 9.5 hour flight. Seriously do not give these people your money. I don’t know what they are doing with it, but they are definitely not maintaining the hotel in anyway. I don’t think they should even be allowed to operate or take money from people because they are not providing a service. They are stealing from you."
"We had a terrible experience at the hotel. The person at front desk that works night shift was disrespectful to my wife. We booked it for one night due to flight being canceled and only hotel available which we payed a crazy price for. The room was terrible. It was dirty and floor felt like it had tons of dirt. Bathroom was not very clean either. There were bugs flying around. Room was super small and had no iron available. Do not recommend staying here ever. Stay away as much you can."
"Pros It was seemingly clean and it wasn’t expensive. 20 minutes from JFK AC, elevator, and TV worked Good water pressure Toiletries provided Cons This place needs a makeover! The decor is outdated, the vents need dusting, the lamps and furniture needs updating, towels need replacing. The towels were so hard! Not even fabric softener could bring these towels back to life. I don’t know which guests they are accustomed to having but I’ve never seen an iron attached to the closet. Speaking of closet there was no rod and no hangers. There was only street parking and street sweeping is 3am to 6am. So I checked out at 259am. I was scared to sleep under the blankets. They were hard and scratchy. I couldn’t wait to leave. I wouldn’t feel safe staying there alone as a female. It gave motel, not hotel vibes."
