EVEN Hotel Long Island City - New York, an IHG Hotel

"Stay away from this hotel!!! We booked our reservation and they cancelled it less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to arrive. After looking online and contacting representatives we found out the hotel is not even opening until January 2023 when our reservation was booked for September 2022. IHG offered virtually no support for this issue and were unable to provide replacement accommodations in time which caused us to cancel our trip. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL!!"

"I am in complete disbelief with this place. The rates are far below normal for the area making it look like a great stay. DONT BE FOOLED this hotel is not open and is still under construction. Not only is it not open you will NOT be given a refund for the reservation. They’ve left people completely stranded in New York City. Never thought I had to worry about booking a hotel and it literally not being built yet. Trying to contact the number outside will only waste your time. Debating about walking in the construction entrance and setting up camp for a hotel I PAID FOR that’s completely unavailable. Oh and even better if you attempt to contact IHG for a refund they will let you know that not only will you be charged for a cancellation fee but also the price of the room. I’m about 5 seconds away from getting my moneys worth and barging in there to sleep. Thanks ALOT NOW ILL HAVE TO FIND A HOTEL ROOM OR SLEEP IN THE SUBWAY WITH THE RATS."

"I wish I could leave a zero star review for the kind of dealing that IHG brand hotel is doing with people. I Booked using official IHG app and reached the location to find out the hotel was not there on ground. Locals are calling it a scam. There used to be a time when IHG hotel brand meant something. Customer reps and IHG employees are completely unaware of the situation and not willing to compensate in any way. What a shame!"

"Completely unacceptable- this hotel was listed on IHG Official Website to be able to book here September 20-22 (2022). Majority hotels in NYC of IHG properties during this time are $700-$1200 per night. So although I would have a longer work commute I booked farther away from the office because this hotel fell within our per diem. I booked this hotel through the IHG website (I have been an IHG ambassador for 8 years) I decided to go to google to help map out my work commute which subway route, etc. that I would need. Imagine my shock upon reading google reviews of the Mom who arrived with her kids and the hotel is NOT even Open yet. I immediately got on the phone with IHG Diamond Ambassador Line and the representative even sounded in disbelief that the hotel may be accepting bookings if the building is NOT open. The representative placed me on hold and after several minutes came back on apologizing that indeed this hotel is not open yet. If you have any bookings here I highly encourage you to to contact IHG to get this booking cancelled without being charged a cancellation fee and hopefully help find you a hotel that is in business. Huge Technical Glitch that IHG needs to fix immediately."

"This hotel does not currently exist. IHG is letting you book through their website but I contacted the property manager and they mentioned this hotel will open in December. Hoping this saves some people time. Leaving a 3 star review since it’s really IHG’s fault for allowing reservations when it’s not open."
