"Someone had to do a specimen collection and they're unsure what to do. I asked if anyone explained it. She said "the person was rushing me out because there were other patients". Now, I understand that on some days there are short staffing or the staff may be multitasking. But patients should NEVER leave with more questions than answers. The staff, whether it be the Doctor or Medical Assistant, even front desk, should ensure there is adequate patient education before the patient leaves the practice. YOU are responsible for patient teaching. The patients in this community are hesitant to ask questions, or sometimes they don't know what questions to ask. You can't just rush them out because you have other things to do. But it's fine since the practice gets another co-pay when they come back. Ridiculous. ---- My suggestion is that you retrieve specimen collection instructions from the laboratory you're sending it to. Or go on google doc and make your own. Have those instructions printed and given to the patient after you've taken the time to verbally explain the steps. That way even if they don't understand someone at home can assist them."

"Me and my husband having being going to Dr surgrim for for at least 10 years his staff is excellent they make u feel at home and doctor is excellent with people skill he is different from the other doctors because he does not rush you, he listen to what have to say and he cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone. Also, the manager is excellent, she's very caring and she's got very great people skills."
