"We've been under the care of Dr. Yao for more than a decade. While Dr. Yao is competent, the deteriorating quality of the staff has compelled us to seek a new physician. The tipping point occurred when we encountered exorbitant fees for filling out health forms required for our children's after-school activities. Despite having commercial insurance, the cost was $60 out of pocket in the past that we never questioned. However, in recent years, this amount creeps up to $200, irrespective of the fact that insurance paid them some amount already. When we questioned the discrepancy between the billed amount and the patient responsibility box on the Explanation of Benefits (EOB), indicating around $80, the response, received after a two-day delay, was that it's due to our deductible. While it may be their policy to charge a fixed amount if they believe insurance hasn't covered enough, the sum is financially burdensome, and the explanation provided seems illogical. As a result, we find it necessary to seek medical care elsewhere."
"The Doctors are fine. However the staff is incredibly unprofessional. The front desk of ladies all have an attitude problem and will disrespect you for asking questions or "Questioning their authority". They get nasty even if you're being respectful. I recommended switching Pediatrics if you don't want a headache, especially if you're a parent with children or regularly need medical assistance. You do not need to tolerate this kind of behavior. The doctor's office should be a safe space, NOT stressful and exhausting. After years of bad service, I had enough and will finally switch doctors."
"I have him for over 10 years.I have 2 kids . We like doctor Yao. But Very rude front desk staff and helper male nurse. My baby wants to ride toy car . They close the door and they tried to make her cry a lot. I 'm so sad . If they're still there I will go to a different doctor."
"I like Dr Yao alot, as I have him for over 10+ years, however, this place is going down hill. Especially with the billing and front desk workers. They are charging for the office visit for the immunization shot which were free before and other clinics are not charging it. Also you can't even complaint to the doctors as the front desk will not transfer the phone to doctors. it is almost like the place is managed by the front desk folks."
"Wonderful doctors. I have been going here for years and they take my concerns seriously. They always refer me to appropriate specialists when necessary, make recommendations based on their knowledge and don't pretend to know things they don't. I am able to get refills on necessary prescriptions with ease. The reception is friendly as well. Unfortunately, I had to move on to a different doctor due to age. Although I believe they would have continued to accept me at the office."
