"Hello, i’m Emily. Dr. Abramson was my doctor. I got diagnosed with retinoblastoma on September of 2006, just a month after my first birthday. All throughout my life, I would hear all of the great stories about Dr. Abramson my mom would tell me. She claims “he was the best doctor you’ve ever had.” I vividly remember some encounters of Dr. Abramson, but then again, I was very young. With that, 2 years ago I decided to get a prosthetic eye, and it’s been a life changer. I am going on 19 years old this year, and I couldn’t have been more blessed to be where I am today. Growing up with my life revolving around retinoblastoma, i’ve always been curious about the eyes. With that, (seeing what you’ve done for my family and I) I hope to be able to be an oncologist like you one day, and to bring blessings just like you have.
