HMH Palisades Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

"The first thing I will say is that I find the actual physical therapists to be professional, knowledgable and quite friendly. Jackpot! I found a place with great physical therapists! So... why three stars? Because there is no way to reach anyone on the phone. You either end up waiting 20 minutes before finally surrendering and leaving a message or leaving a message from the onset. WHEN is that message returned? When does your therapist know you'll be late? When can you confirm information? It's absolutely absurd you can't reach a live person. Anyhow... here comes my actual complaint. Today, whilst booking appointments, FOUR times I had to remind the person (FOUR TIMES!!!) the name of the therapist I wanted. She kept coming back to me with another therapist's name. I was nice. although I am certain she was taken aback by the shocked and, I'm sure, annoyed look on my face when she came back to me a fourth time with the other therapist's name. Anyhow... finally, the appointments were made. WE CONFIRMED the appointments - dates, times and the therapist. "Would you like a copy of the calendar?" the person said. I replied - "No, I wrote it all down here on the earlier copy you had given me (BIG Mistake) and, besides, I will get the notifications on My Chart." When I got home, I checked MY CHART to find there was one appointment missing. I left a voice mail (what else could I do) advising I spent nearly 30 minutes booking four appointments but one of them was missing from My Chart. I further advised I need the appointment booked before someone else takes it. I clearly advised the date, time and the correct name of the therapist. I get a return call from someone confirming I did not have an appointment on that day... "THANK YOU." ... yeah... not happy. Again... Therapists are wonderful - Space is amazing - VIEWS!!! incredible. Cleanliness is great. Care is wonderful. Phone and communications ... blech. Frankly, just based on the absurdity of the communications issue I would not recommend them. I will point out I take two other people there and they enjoy it - then again, they don't have to deal with booking their appointments or trying to communicate with anyone there via the phone. ********* Addendum - at 8:06 I received a call from the Center — apologising and advising me the appointment was booked to the correct time and therapist. Yep! I even got an SMS confirmation!! The person on the phone could not have been more professional or understanding - but where does that leave the phone issue? Now I am not quite sure whether I’ll delete this review, change the star rating to four or just leave as is. The folks at mighty Hackensack Meridian Health should know there is a problem that needs to be remedied."

"I had the honor to be Gabbie’s patient, and with my time here I managed to recover from a previous PCL tear I got from playing soccer. The thing with Gabbie’s sessions was that I was able to do some fun soccer drills with the limited space we had. I also enjoyed the fact that when Gabbie was not available, I would be able to schedule sessions with other physical therapists, who are also patient and caring. This place is a lovely environment, I would recommend this place to my friends and anyone who is looking for a place to receive physical therapy."
