"Our family had a great time here. They enjoyed the spa facilities while I took nature walks(saw a bald eagle). Make sure you visit the world's largest kaleidoscope while you are there. The grill has aome of the best burgers."
"Disappointing experience! Had higher expectations for the price. Truly confused on why it’s marketed as dog friendly and charges pet fees when you have to basically stay in the room and watch your own dog. Dog friendliness - cannot leave dog in the room - cannot use on-site spa services as a couple because dog can't be left alone (was literally told by the staff you can’t do couple’s spa because you have the dog, and they suggested we leave him in the car as a solution!) - there are no dog bowls for food and water in the rooms Flexibility - no flexibility around check out, was told by the staff you can only get extension by calling management and it’s highly unlikely. Ended up calling front desk in the morning and they gave us a half hour. Spa services - check in is at 4pm, spa closes at 5pm the spa then opens at 9am and check-out is at 11am. Everything is fully booked. Felt as though spa can only be used if staying longer than 1 night. Recommend reading the reviews before you go, their responses to unhappy people give you a great idea about the type of their customer service."
"I’ve been looking for a dog-friendly getaway and I am so happy to have found Emerson!! The cabins in the lodge were rustic in style, yet full of modern amenities, perfectly clean, also. The rest of the resort has beautiful, carefully selected art pieces. There is a restaurant for Breakfast / dinner, and another in the spa for lunch. Both welcomed my dogs and made them dog-friendly food. There is also a dog park where the dogs can run off leash, and my pups absolutely loved that. The shops also allowed our dogs, and were full of wonderful items and the kaleidoscope display. The views of the Catskills and Esopus creek around the property are breathtaking, and the staff is absolutely the best. I can’t say enough good things about Emerson."
"What a gem!!! BEAUTIFUL location - can't wait to go back!! The foliage was INCREDIBLE!!! The room got 4 stars only because the shower head/pressure was not too good. Outdated.nThat needs to be updated! The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! The surrounding areas and views were absolutely breathtaking!! The service was friendly and professional!! The spa was AMAZING and shout out to Samantha who performed my mud wrap! Her technique was incredible! Highly recommend her!! Shout out too, to the restaurant right next to the resort (on the same property) Woodnotes Grill for having a CRUELTY free vegan dinner option that was DELICIOUS! Vegans always much appreciate the compassionate menu choices the restaurants have for Vegans! More importantly, the Animals appreciate it too!! All in all - what a spectacular getaway! Thank you!!!"
"This is a lovely place in the Catskills. I will speak to only the stay and the amenities and not the spa as we did not try anything there. We stayed here for 3 nights with our dog and it was a great experience. They are very pet friendly and have a nice and clean dog run (with a smaller one for the little dogs). The rooms are tidy and comfortable. (The only complaint being the lack of microwave but the people at the front desk were kind enough to heat up food for us at the common microwave). The resort is spacious with nice trails around. They also have lots of open space for guests to just wind down and relax. The staff is welcoming. The shops and kaleidoscope area is nice to explore. Overall I highly recommend this place for a nice weekend getaway."
