"Tried to help a friend get into treatment and horizons lockport office scheduled an appointment two different times to receive treatment and have literally blowing off with a no call no show on their part. horrible service not professional should be shut down"

"If you're not an addict don't go here. I tried going to this office for counseling for depression. I paid $125, went through their ridiculously long questionnaire at the appointment, barely got to speak to them about my issues before the appointment ended and the woman supervising the counselor (she was new) said, "I don't think we can help you here." They knew I was seeking counseling for depression but made me sit through the appointment only to tell me at the end that they really only work with addicts. What a waste of my time! It was so frustrating!!"

"Allison and her over the shoulder Supervisor were not what I had in mind for mental health treatment to be treated the way I was by her supervisor over answering questions when I had my web appt while introducing my family who are apart of my treatment I will never forgive nor Allison's unprofessional approach to snickering at my honesty of suicidal thoughts. Don't short yourself with these people or this place if only looking for mental health their staff is NOT QUALIFIED to handle both substance abuse and mental health . They are ONLY TRAINED SUBSTANCE ABUSE PEOPLE .Mental health comes last here. I will never again use this place for anything I don't care if I was a junkie on the street I wouldn't step back in there again to immature and unprofessional staff. . If I could leave the middle finger emoji I would ."

"McClinic running under the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion model. Better than nothing if you need counseling. Sadly, I needed a proper psychologist, not a counselor. YMMV. I cannot recommend in good faith if you have severe depression, high anxiety, or if you may have a trauma disorder that doesn't react to CBT. They will call any emergency contacts you give them, for better or worse, with or without your permission."

"The absolute BEST facility for alcohol and drug recovery I have ever experienced. Heather and the staff all around the building are actual hero’s. I’ve been clean from my d.o.c. for almost 2 years and lemme tell ya, I owe my life to horizons and Heather. If you can open your mind and listen to what they have to say, even for just 1 hour, you will see that there are kind and empathetic people ready to rally around you and embrace you. 6 months in to outpatient treatment I promise you, your counselor will seem like family. They can be your sword and shield so that when it comes time to FIGHT this disease, you won’t be completely helpless, alone, and in immense pain. That’s If you LET them in, and you CHOOSE a life worth living rather than putting poison through your body. Anyway, I would definitely recommend Horizons!"
