"Watch out for backwardness. They are not as smart as they pretend to be. They are even opportunistic. Generally, I would consider this the best hospital in New York City. I was born here. I have spent 300+ hours in their operating rooms. And I have spent months on their psych ward. Again, they are trying. It is just hard. But also, they are a little old school and slow to update. I wish I had been treated with more respect. And sadly, I was witness to a gruesome example of surgeons 'practicing' on an open leg receiving a metal rod with screws. They invited me to participate, I said I didn't think it would be kosher. They understood. I was misdiagnosed before I was admitted there, coming unconscious from St Luke's near Columbia I think, and they did nothing good to me. They even sent me to another facility for 6 months without good reason, I think. But I was generally comfortable and safe on the psych ward when I was there. The food is always good on psych wards. The kitchens have integrity usually."
"1 star because zero isn't an option. Communication to patients is non-existent, except when they outright lie."

"My wife, today 02/08/2023 got admission from her office having severe abdominal pain at 1:20 p.m. But did not any doctor after arrival to emergency room until 4 hrs later my arrival. I talked to a nurse/NP and learned Dr. Gupta is assigned to see my wife. Upon a request to the NP, she messege again to Dr. Gupta. After half an hour, Dr. Gupta came in, heard all that brings my wife here. 30 minutes later my wife was given a pain medicine upon reminder to Dr. Gupta. Then after her pain reduced a lot and Dr. Gupta advised to do her CitiScan and Ultrasonogram suspecting possible galbludder stone. It is now 07:30 p.m. (got admission at 1:20 p.m.), we are still waiting for reports!! Waiting at hospital is a curse on a normal life. All thru frustrated but got relief from severe pain thats the only thing I could say!!"
"The doctors, surgeons, nurses, techs, CNAs, and everybody in between are so kind, and finely tuned into each patient and their unique situations. I’ve gotten the utmost incredible care when receiving two organ transplants at Mount Sinai."
