"Wish I could give zero stars, this place shouldn't be open. If you're considering going then you would be better off NOT going. I went for my third time feeling suicidal and I came out feeling worse which seems to be a common thing said among the reveiws. The doctor bewiddled me, would cut me off and let me go just after a day I came in. If you want to make a complaint nothing woll be done because he leads the whole thing. No one there will talk to you and you sit there with nothing to do or someone to talk to."

"St.Joesph CPEP is the best place for evaluation with mental health In the Syracuse area. Where you are treated with care! Abby and Lisa are great and the best. I enjoy drinking tea in the units. Sometimes when I find myself stuck I ask for a rosary or a bible. It is sometimes available but sometimes they will bring it from a different unit/dept."

"If I could rate and give no stars that's what it would be. This place is a horrible nightmare. My daughter was here for sometime and all they did was lie and not help her at all. One nurse kept calling us "YOU PEOPLE".... They told me that they were looking for inpatient but they weren't doing a very good job at helping her in anyway. All she did was sit in her room. You cant bring any food or anything in for them and they also will not let both parents be together with their child when visiting. How is this going to help your child??? I ended up telling them I was taking her out of their and brining her home. She has been home a couple weeks and she still confining herself to her room and don't want to do anything. This place has made her worst off."

"Absolutely horrible EVIL place. The staff/doctors care nothing about the patients. You are either ignored or talked down to disrespectfully. Had to wait 6-hrs. just to get a prescription. No compassion or empathy whatsoever for patients with mental illness. Place needs to be boarded up & shutdown. Do NOT go to CPEP when in a mental health crisis because you will leave the facility feeling worse off then when you went in."

"I have literally no clue where all these 1-star reviews are coming from. A year or two ago I admitted myself into CPEP due to having delusions from extreme depression issues/problems that I was a literal danger to myself at the time. I ended up admitted into the Psychiatric wing for CPEP where they truly care about you as the patient. You get a bed to lay and sleep on. Possibly a Bible to pray and read with in your room. Also, you have a window to see the outside world. Nothing else but a bare room for you the patient's safety. I ended up being admitted for 3 days Friday - Sunday. I ended up meeting many very nice and helpful doctors, nurses, mentors, social workers and staff while being taken care of and diagnosed during my stay. I ended up being prescribed Zyprexa which really helped get rid of my running negative thoughts each day. In the meantime, we had a well watched over by staff little lunchroom we could eat and watch TV with the other patients together. We all became friends while in CPEP. I was then referred to St. Joes Behavorial Health and am being seen by a wonderful therapist who changed me from Zyprexa to Seroquel which I still take daily.
