"If I could give zero stars I would. If your child has clubfoot do NOT trust this practice or doctor. I trusted Alves to correct our daughter’s feet and ensure our daughter could walk (she was born with bilateral clubfoot). We wasted months with Kristin Alves convincing us it was normal for slipped casts and sores on our babies feet. She is not ponseti trained, because she would have known that she was wrong. Thank God I had the sense to seek a second opinion. I am still haunted by the fact that she would have delayed my child’s development, and cause her to undergo unnecessary surgery because Alves refused to admit she was not fixing the problem. And don’t get me started on the billing department, Wake Med is a mess and absolutely ridiculous! Sent me to collections without even sending the bills to my insurance, which cannot be legal! I should have filed and refused to pay because they only prolonged my daughter’s treatment and they did nothing to fix her clubfoot! I had to seek out a doctor who could give her the proper care. When it comes to club foot choose UNC, they saved our daughter and her ability to walk!"
