"Most painful mammogram ever!!! Avoid short Eastern European tech who has to redo extremely painful procedure due to not getting clear pictures. I've had other techs who were gentler and knew how to position patients properly to avoid pain and redoing the whole procedure. Waited an hour and a half. People who work here are gruff and unfriendly. I wish men were subject to mammograms, then this sadistic machine would be re-engineered asap. I dread this procedure every year!! Will look for a different location. This location is subpar to put it mildly."

"NYU radiology made me wait 1.5 hours for my appointment upon arrival. I am on high dose steroids and needed to fast for my procedure due to contrast. So ended up with an empty stomach for 6 hours. I can’t take my steroids on an empty stomach. Secretary was nice but NYU needs to be more efficient with scheduling. 1 star."

"I’ve been going to the NYU breast Imaging Center for a number of years and found them to be very professional. There may be a waiting period but I have never found it to be unreasonable - no more than waiting to see my doctor or dentist. They follow up quickly if another test is needed or if an issue was discovered on your xrays. I have never been treated rudely by anyone there."

"I found the receptionist efficient, friendly and polite. I waited in the outside reception area for about 1/2 hour before I was called inside to change for the bone density test, and an additional 10-15 minutes before the actual test occurred."

"Receptionist Vanessa Gonzales is terribly rude and unprofessional. In fact, all the receptionists and schedulers are. Ms. Gonzalez especially so. She announces to the whole waiting area, which is not at all private, all the details about your visit and insurance particulars. Vanessa then likes to refer to you by your diagnosis instead of your actual name. "You're a 'call back'", "call back, sign here". It made me want to walk out watching this happen over and over. Expect to wait at least an hour to an hour an half for your exam. But don't expect to know your results right away. This place makes mammograms way more stressful and uncomfortable than they already are."
