"I haven't been here in a couple of years. Last time I was here I checked in (or so I thought). Sitting waiting to be called. I see all the other patients that came in after me. And I'm still not being called. Then I received a text message telling me I missed my appointment please call and reschedule. So they never checked me in. Because they were more interested in having a conversation with each than doing their job."
"While I can greatly appreciate that they got me in the office very quickly as a new patient, I felt very dismissed and unheard by Dr. Hash. I explained the entirety of my symptoms and even showed her my rash and where it was, she just said, “you’re allergic” without actually listening to what led to the cause of my symptoms. Also, she prescribed a topical cream which clearly stated in its use directions to not apply to the area I had my rash. Coupled with a double dose of Allegra without telling me what mg to take up to. I called the office cause it seemed really high and they just said to take the double dose."
"Amanda, the nurse injector, is incredible. She is extremely knowledgeable about the products she works with and facial anatomy/musculature. She takes the time to listen to what you want and has an eye for helping you figure it out if you don’t quite know what to ask for. I’m not new to neurotoxins, which she’s great with, but I hadn’t done much with filler before I started going to Amanda. After one visit she had me looking 5-10 years younger with some strategically placed cheek and chin filler, seriously - people don’t believe me when I tell them my age! She’s also super fun to talk to and really puts you at ease. Love love love her!!"
"Have had a wonderful experience as far as the cosmetic aspect, but unfortunately learned after going there over two years I could have signed up for two programs to save money every time I purchased cosmetic fillers. I was informed the Dermatology side of the office was not properly trained hence is why patients never had the opportunity to save money. The cosmetic side was informed of these two programs and the patient has the opportunity to save money on these very costly services. Overall, you can get the same services but you just have to be “lucky” you are on the savings side of the office. The office manager Brooke stated she could not go back on my previous visits and offer me a discount just because her staff on the Dermatology side is not trained to do so. I think Administrators should reevaluate this concern since their patients are misinformed and told by their own staff some employees are trained and others are not. Thus, because of their lack of training you the customer/patient pay more than others. Wow!!!!"
"Blue Ridge Dermatology is a terribly run business. I have been a patient since 2013, and today may have been my last visit. I simply needed a prescription refill, which had expired. They insisted it couldn't be filled over the phone and that I needed an in-person appointment. My scheduled appointment was at 12 pm, and I arrived at 11:55am. My name was not called until 12:45pm, I even had to ask the receptionist if they had forgotten about me. When I finally made it into the doctor's room, I sat for another 10 minutes before being seen. My total time spent with Dr. O'Rourke: 5 minutes. This was frustrating, given I only required a prescription I'd been using for a decade! Dr. O'Rourke was pleasant and apologized for the wait, however repeated apologies hold little meaning. Stop apologizing and do better. Stop over scheduling your doctors and see the patients at their scheduled time. It's really that simple. Long waits have been a problem at every visit here, but my experience today was unacceptable. My prescription could have been renewed over the phone, sparing my time and the $50 copay. I'm sharing this review as a warning to others: Blue Ridge Dermatology seems more focused on profit than patient care. Time that I look for a practice that does the opposite."
