The Shoe Repair Chapel Hill, NC 27517

"Unfortunately I used to enjoy doing business at this location. I have had both shoes and handbags repaired here. Today I had business in Eastgate and at the shoe repair. I parked to walk to make a return in east gate first and then planned to drop my shoes and visit the yarn store. Before I could get ten steps from my car a man (not the owner) came out yelling at me aggressively to move my car and threatened to have it towed. There are ZERO signs about private parking or towing and I pointed that out. In the meantime he began yelling at another couple who had the same plan and was walking to Eastgate prior to going to the marikakis grocery store. He got in the man's face and was aggressively yelling at us both. I then retreated to my car and completed NO BUSINESS at any of my planned locations due to this altercation. I will not return or allow myself to do business at a place where I was treated like a crook."

"They resoled (from removing the heels and rebuilding my boots from the inside out) my Western boots. Every detail of the repair is neatly and professionally done, including the re-stitching of the soles which had to have been tricky with the pointed toes. They were returned to me in a perfect condition and the fit that had been broken into to boots from long wear was still as good as it had been when they started. The price was right too. Oh, and when I was late getting there (gotta love Chapel Hill traffic), they stayed open a few minutes until I could get there. Great repair, and very kind service."
