"Sally Summers is amazing. She actively listens and talks to you like you're a person rather than a patient file. I am finally on the right medications in my middle-30s after being misdiagnosed and dismissed since age 13. I have her (and a great therapist) to thank for feeling better mentally and emotionally than I have since I was a child. I haven't had any of the issues with the administrative staff that I've read in other reviews."

"I had an excellent experience at East Tennessee Focus !!! Everyone was so kind ! The wait period was short and Madison was Amazing ! She set my mind at ease immediately and is working with me for the best outcome possible for my needs ! She is up to date with all of the latest medications and she listens with true concern . I recommend her and her staff !"

"My daughter was seen here. Extremely unprofessional staff. The receptionist has each caller on speaker phone every time I have called- violating patient privacy and HIPPA regulations. I have been in the waiting room hearing what other patients are saying on the phone with concerns- my daughter should not be privy to that, nor should anyone else. Not to mention the patient’s privacy being violated. I have worked as an office manager at a large doctor office and this is very very bad practice. I have asked multiple times for them to use a headset and they are always “working on it”. I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for being concerned about that. The receptionist was condescending, disrespectful and unprofessional. Then I spoke with the owner/provider and she interrupted me and didn’t address the issue but stood up for her staff- saying, “she has 5 five star reviews” all while making me feel like I was in the wrong. I guess she forgot to mention all of the one star reviews. It felt just like gaslighting. As a side note, their computers were ‘down’ on a Friday and my daughter’s prescription was filled many days late. All around- I will never return. I will be reporting them."

"My experience today trying to schedule an appointment blew my mind, and left me wondering whose sanity was needing attention. Then I took the time to read the reviews, and it all become clear. One star is a far-stretch to grade this business. First, I was disconnected while "being transferred" to new patients handler. Then, when I called back, the "New Patients" representative, Robin says, "I don't need your attitude", after what I thought was a normal call without trouble. She yelled at me and when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said, "You'll talk with my supervisor when you have your scheduled appointment!" I was shocked at the way SHE ATTACKED ME! I'm not exactly a mild-mannered delicate flower, so maybe she took my strong personality as offensive. But I've never had someone continue on and on yelling at me in a professional setting when I stand up for myself. I hung up to make it stop, but when I called back to explain that I already had been disconnected before her call, she only yelled louder and said I hung up on her. More yelling and continued arguing, and I hung up again, because it was clear it was not going to stop. This level of hostility and aggression from the staff of a mental support facility is beyond compare! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This is NOT a legitimate health care provider!"

"First thing i want to say is that i was extremely hesitant about seeing someone to talk about what i was dealing with. I swore I wasn’t going to be just another scribble on paper and a product of medication. However with Sally Summers that wasn’t the case at all. I literally got out of my appointment with a feeling of hope that I’ve not felt in years. She didn’t make me feel like a customer at all. She made me feel like I mattered and that i was important. Most importantly she cared! I owe her a huge thanks for getting me on a path that has propelled my life forward in a way that I didn’t think would be possible at this point. Not only for me but she has helped my wife as well. I would recommend anyone who is struggling but is scared, hesitant, doesn’t know where to start or whatever it is, to go see her. In conclusion with all that being said, i want to personally thank you on this review Sally. You’re an awesome person and I’m beyond thankful for what you’ve done for my family."
