"Go see Nellie as she gives the best haircuts and styles. She is well worth seeing if you want your hair to look great!!!!! I'm updating my review at this point. International haircutters has raised their prices three times in 14 months. At this point, I know I can find less expensive places to get my hair cut, especially if you live in the outer boroughs, or in a neighboring state. I really feel for the kind of service you get at this salon, it is no longer worth the price. I've stopped going to this salon myself, and find I can get a good haircut for less money elsewhere."

"It's not an upscale place, for sure, and I haven't had my hair cut there but I have had it blown out several times and I can say that Nellie knows what she's doing with a hair blower. My hair has looked great for about 3 days, good price and Nellie is so pleasant. Hope she continues to be around for awhile."

"Do not go here whatsoever. Nellie does not listen to what you request and cuts you hair as she pleases. I asked for a trim and layers in the front and she gave me choppy layers all over and took off much more length than I had asked. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed and pay triple the price but even then they couldn’t do much because she ruined it so badly. Additionally she was incredibly rude and told me that this was what I asked for even though she knew she was in the wrong. The night of the cut she rushed me out and said she would give me a refund if I wanted, but the next day when I called for a refund she refused and was extremely rude. Would give this 0 stars if I could. I should’ve known when the bald man who went before me was complaining about his cut..."

"There is tension in this store when you come. Obviously, not everyone gets along with everyone else. I sometimes feel that when clients walk in when you have an appointment with someone that you are rushed, or forced to do things in an order that you don't want done. Still the finished product is decent and I often get compliments on my haircuts. So it's just a matter of putting up with the store politics, that no customer should have to do. Could be a lot better experience if they wanted it to be."

"I dont do my hair quite often and with anyone i haven't been recommended to. But after coming here i was observing the hair stylists and Nellie was the one i came back to get my haircut. She did great. Although i was a little nervous because it was my first time there. She does need new appliances like flat irons and curling irons"
