"I am extremely disappointed with my onboarding experience at Ashewell Primary Care. After submitting the initial form, I expected prompt communication to schedule my first appointment. However, I was met with silence for five days and only received a response after proactively reaching out, being told the delay was due to illness in the office. To my dismay, I was then assigned an appointment via text for a date a month later without any consideration for my schedule or availability. Further complicating matters, I was advised not to transfer my medical records from my previous doctor until I had been officially accepted as a patient—a status that remained unclear even as I received a charge of $267 on my credit card a week prior to my supposed first appointment. This charge came as a surprise, especially since I had not been formally accepted as a patient at that point. Upon contacting them to cancel the appointment and request a refund due to the lack of communication and unclear fee structure for new patients, I was only partially refunded, with a $29 “enrollment” fee deducted despite never being enrolled in any service. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the frustration their process caused. While I am hesitant to write negative reviews, especially for small local businesses, the lack of professionalism and transparency in this case are concerning and indicative of serious systemic issues within their practice."

"The best Direct Primary Care in Asheville. All the providers at Ashewell are fabulous and caring. Dr. Vieages is my PCP and she gave me her undivided attention to take care or some persistent issues and set up some medical appointments that needed attention. Insurance is great for bigger issues but this type of care is hands down worth the membership fee."
