I have had one issue with showing up for my appointment 45 minutes EARLY and the receptionist forgot about me and I wasn't seen until 1 hour after I arrived but that was no means a reflection on Dr. Holly or his level of competency. "Dr. Holly might be OK, however the office staff at WakeMed Physicians Practices Brier Creek Medical Group, definitely is not. I was seen by Dr John Durwood Holly on 12/11/14 as a new patient. A couple medications were prescribed and at checkout, I was informed the office was "connected" to my pharmacy (CVS). I went to my pharmacy to pickup the meds but only one was available to me at the time, the other required a "pre-authorization" from the prescribing doctor. After repeated faxes, the first being on 12/14/14 to the doctor's office from the pharmacy, my phone calls and my wife's conversations with the staff, more than a week has laspsed and still the pharmacy hadn't received the required "pre-authorization" or any other kind of info from Dr. Holly. Yesterday, CVS again faxed over the info for Dr Holly but according to the office staff at WakeMed Physicians Practices Brier Creek Medical Group the only person that can check faxes was busy all day and unfortunately before the fax machine was checked Dr Holly left the office and would not be back until at least Monday, 11/22/14. What a run-around and certainly not efficient nor sympathetic to their patient's needs."
