Rex Hospital Radiation Oncology of Wakefield

"Disclaimer: Your cancer and treatment may be very different from mine, but this is based on 33 treatments for breast cancer. Initially I didn't want to go here, as I had a bad experience at Rex Hospital and a branch of specialists there. However my amazing medical oncologist (at Waverly Hematology and Oncology in Cary) talked me into this facility and its radiation oncologist Dr. Anderson, and I'm so glad he did! The staff here is patient, cheerful, and professional, from the reception desk to the oncologist, Dr. Anderson, his nurses, and the brilliant minds who make the big machine do its thing. EVERYone had to endure all kinds of questions from me, and patiently and thoroughly answered them. They were all very upbeat, but also gentle and sensitive to patient privacy, dignity, and occasional physical discomfort. My advice is don't get cancer, but since we don't always have that choice, if you do, and require radiation, (and are within 30 miles of this facility) I for one highly recommend it."
