"I had my consultation here yesterday with Dr. Thomas Longo. My nurse was Jennifer and she was SO sweet and friendly. You have to stand in a short line to check in, and the women at the check-in window are also great. I was expecting a long wait after that, but no - they called me within 5 minutes. I have to say that they all seem on the ball here and everyone seems keenly aware that a patient coming here with cancer is already a bit stressed. I'll be having my surgery here next month. I am quite thankful to be coming to Duke for my care."

"Had my 18 months of Chemo at this facility and the entire staff , starting with the appointment staffs to the nurses that took care of me and DrGina Vaccaro, Dr. Taylor were All my earthly Angels for the 18 months. I was driving from So Georgia 20 Hours round trip. I woul come in on Sunday's staying at the Hyatt across the street. Had 4 Chemos every 3 wks 1st round for 3 months, 2nd round for 3 months every week, same routine stayed at the Homestead suites.for 2 1/2 months, 3rd round every 3 wks. the next morning at 8 a.m.. on the road back home about 11 a.m same for the 1st round. I. NEVER GOT FATIGUED OR SICK OR ANYTHING. I STAYED POSITIVE THE WHOLE 18 MONTHS, I did lose my hair before the second treatment and when it started to fall out, my 17 yr. Old grandson shaved my hair. I'm 10 years cancer free on February 8th, 2017.. God Bless Duke for their wonderful and professional care for me. I recommend this institution for everything, I would go back in a heart beat if needed. Duke is releasing me in April 2017. Thank Duke and God for giving me all these extra years."
