Uplift Therapy

"First - this review is not a reflection of the therapist, but of Uplift itself. Uplift claims that they provide mental health services at affordable prices. Our insurance was listed under their website and they claim that they provide you with a notice of insurance coverage. We were not provided this notice and after a few sessions, we received a notice from our insurance company that we would need to pay Uplift out of pocket in the amount of $700+. When I reached out to the insurance provider, they notified me that they had actually rejected coverage FROM THE FIRST SESSION. Instead of notifying us, Uplift allowed my daughter to continue scheduling sessions and continued to bill us with the knowledge that our sessions were not covered. This is a really dishonest way of doing business. We're hoping Uplift and/or the insurance company will work together to rectify this issue. Update/edit: Madison from the Customer Service dept reached out and resolved the billing issue for us. We appreciate their prompt response and attention to the matter. Although our initial experience wasn't completely positive, the way they handled the situation speaks volumes about their service/care."
