I was young and too ill to understand that I needed different support. I once mentioned how I can understand how some people would consider suicide. All my therapist did was make me sign a contract promising not to commit suicide. I found out later these type of contracts aren't effective. If you are going to a counselor and not seeing some improvement or your personalities don’t match, move to another therapist. I finally switched counselors and am doing much better.
