Reviews
"I have seen Elizabeth for two sessions, and just taking the time and proper care to listen, we reviewed my diagnoses today, which were completely on point. I’ve been misdiagnosed by psychiatrists in the past that has placed a stigma on me to only get treated through medication for decades. I have NOT been on medication for over a year due to psychotic episodes while medicated that only grew more unstable, and KNEW something was wrong with that diagnoses that’s followed me around my entire life. In fact the last psychiatrist recommended electric shock therapy since medication wasn’t working… Which I’m so glad my spidey senses tingled, and just gave up with psychiatrists. I’m not advocating against medications or psychiatrists, however it certainly was been an ill fit for me personally, and now it makes sense as to why. With the updated diagnoses that COMPLETELY describes how and why I function the way I function in life, I’m excited for the first time, that there is hope! We are going to be working on different therapy routines than I’ve received from my prior counselor, and I truly think that the goals are going to help me navigate my life in a healthier direction. I’ve been seeking mental health my entire life, Fully transparent about my issues, my emotions, and for the first time it feels like I’m heard and there’s a plan to help! I’m extremely excited to continue to work with Elizabeth! Thank you so much!"
"Very disappointing. Reminder there is a difference between a counselor and a therapist. They are not therapist. Waste of time and money..."
"I was looking for a counselor that was a POC and that lead me to Shine Counseling. I have been working with Kimberly Parker for the last few months and I appreciate all the help she has been able to provide. Definitely will suggest her to friends and family!"
