"So I have been seeing Dr Brandon since I moved to Charlotte in 2017. My first visit with Dr. Brandon was in 2018 as in 2017 all my doctor visits were completed in New York. I started to have heavy cycles that were kicking my butt and I remember telling Dr. Brandon that my cycles were angry. She said your cylcles are not angry, but just a little sick. I thought that was nice way to describe my issue. So I did the normal ultrasound and it turns out I had a few fibroids. She explained all my options. I was grateful that surgery was not the first option although I had no plans on having anymore children. We tried may ways to reduce my heavy cycles including taking birth control pills, depo shot, and tranexamic acid and nothing help. It just seemed to get worse. I'd have some short relief, then I like to describe that my cycle came back strong and vicious and sometimes would stick around for weeks. Finally in February 2022 I opted to have a hysterectomy. Turns out I had another underlying issue, adenomyosis. Dr. Brandon does a great job explaining things to you, but she also listens and makes you not only feel comfortable, but you truly feels she cares about your overall health not only as a doctor, but as a human. In addition; the office staff is also vey pleasant."
