"The probably one of the worse worse OB in atrium health Chanel less then 5 minute visit completely ignore my situation she told me at 18 weeks I need to keep my weight the same or less until I give birth she say having swollen of ankle, legs and knee aren’t pregnancy related just cold. my feet are extremely swollen she never touch it to even see how deep it was and she walk me out of the room like an animal no concern for my swollen body with major history of fluid retention she never checked for urine to make sure all is good!!! I’m a heart disease patient on top of it all :( she shouldn’t be an OB she completely ignore my concern sent me home with my pain left me with 1000 questions I wouldn’t recommend this doctor not even for your pet worse doctor ever!!!!!!! Unfortunately people like this deliver our babies :( in her note she mention patient need to see lungs doctor she never even listen to my lungs lol such a joke of a doctor if you are pregnant and want to loose your baby go see her!!!!!"

Misdiagnosed, no care from staff, rushed 15 minute appointment (she was talking while walking out the door) Did not review my chart and pressured a medicine I cannot take, rushed into surgery Without reviewing past surgeries... so she doesn't listen nor review your chart. After two visits, I will NEVER return and I will encourage not to as well. Pathetic medical establishment."

"Dr Lowder is extremely caring, listens carefully and calmly managed my care through many issue that finally led up to hysterectomy. Surgery went really well, recovery was quick and I’m back to my routine without worry. She is a great doctor and I trust her completely."

"Saw Dr.Lowder today for my prenatal visit. I had a severe kidney infection a couple months ago and I was in the hospital for 3 days on antibiotics and then on oral antibiotics for 10 days following. I have not been on medication for about a month now. When I went in the office today she told me I should take an antibiotic once a day until I deliver to be a preventative, I am only 16 weeks and still have over half of my pregnancy to go. Also she said shouldn’t gain any more weight. The appointment took all of about 3 minutes and she kept rushing me and not taking any of my concerns into consideration. I feel as if she didn’t care and I personally would not recommend her to anyone."

"I saw Dr. Laura Lowder twice for gynecology appointments and on my third visit, which was for my pregnancy confirmation, she introduced herself to me as if we had never met. I was very nervous about my high risk pregnancy and she did not address any of my concerns when I brought them up. I asked her to test for a specific antibody that I am at risk for because of my autoimmune disease – which seemed to irritate her – but she agreed to do it. However, when I got the lab test back there was no test for the antibody. She also flat out refused to discuss pain management with me and did not go over my other medications. Furthermore, when I reviewed her doctors notes after my visit I was furious because she claimed in her notes that she had discussed several issues with me that she DID NOT actually address. She also never responded to my urgent messages before or after my visit. I left her office and made an appointment with the Bradford Clinic, who sent me for several special lab tests because of my various conditions that make me high risk. They also referred me to a maternal fetal medicine specialist who tested me for the antibody I was concerned about and got me back on my pain medications. I honestly fear for how I would have been negatively impacted by my high risk (possibly life threatening) pregnancy had I remained with Dr. Lowder - who did not see the need for any of this specialized care. I hope that she never treats another high risk patient who needs more care than she is willing to provide."
