"I made one claim months ago after a minor damage at fault accident. They've been trying to get rid of me since. They lied and told me I would have needed new insurance by now because they were going out of business. I just checked because I thought it was weird they were saying I owed them money in an email and then come to find out I'm still insured."

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is absolute garbage and I wish, for more reasons than 1 that I would not have had to deal with them. Giving elderly and/or grieving people the run around for 3 years for a simple $1k policy is unacceptable! I handle things for my grandparents and this got to be too much for them to handle, rightfully so. It’s giving scammy, please people be aware of the circles they will send you in before giving you your money from YOUR insurance policy. Insurance and insurance companies are already deemed as so sketchy and ridiculous, Kemper doesn’t help those allegations. Also, outsourcing your customer service team to overseas companies speaks highly to the probability of things getting done correctly and efficiently, just lazy and scammy. Be aware!"

Power's latest claims satisfaction survey. Kemper scored 798 out of 1,000 for their claims process, compared to the industry average of 873 out of 1,000." That tells you that they are only after the dollar and definitely not to help the customer."

"Absolute clown show of an agency.. The negligence and carelessness experienced with Kemper are unforgivable. My homeowners policy lapsed in October 2022 due to apparent non-payment on a cancellation mistake made on their end. They cancelled my home policy, instead of my auto policy which is what I had requested. Hours were spent talking to customer service, emailing back and fourth and filling out documents. After being reassured everything was fine when the policy was reinstated in June 2022, it was cancelled in October with no letter (even though they said they sent one..), email, or phone call that this was happening. As such, I had thought my insurance payments were still being made as part of my monthly mortgage/escrow. Thank God nothing happened between then and now. PLEASE be better about notifying your paying customers. An issue like this could completely ruin someone’s life financially in the event of a home disaster. Yes I am to blame partially for not being the most informed, but the fact you didn’t attempt to contact me, and now treated me like a delinquent over your mistake is not cool. I would never recommend Kemper to anyone."
