The Everly

"My husband and I have lived at the Everly for a little over a year. We have loved the area— it is perfectly tucked away while still being conveniently located near dining and downtown. In fact, we enjoy walking to dinner at one of the several nearby restaurants on occasion. It is very quiet here. Not a lot of noise or traffic. This surprised us because how near it is to parks and businesses! We feel safe here, and that was important to us. The pool did not open this past summer, and was discolored when we first moved in, so we haven’t gotten to use it. But other than that, we’ve been very happy with our experience at the Everly. We don’t have pets, but there is a spacious gated area for dogs to play, and we enjoy watching them from our balcony. Our unit is spacious, but we have had to come up with creative storage space ideas because the lack of closet/cabinet space. Our only regret is not getting a bigger unit, but we’ve made it work just fine. Management and maintenance have been kind to us and good with communication. I would absolutely recommend the Everly to someone looking for a comfortable apartment close to the heights/university/downtown without all the noise and traffic!"

"For the most part, the Everly is great place to live in Knoxville. The floors are squeaking because they are older but the kitchen is renovated. They are the market price as around Knoxville but it was great to live there. Maintenance was great."

"The location of these apartments is the biggest draw. We moved out this past January and there was a change of staff at that time. So I can only speak to our experience. There were roaches in the apartment the day we arrived. We were told there were never any complaints from the prior resident. We were given some sticky traps and were put on the exterminator's list. We put tape around all outlets that were not flush with the wall so that no roaches could travel into the apartment as we had seen them enter and exit through there. After some exterminations and some attempts of traps of our own, this issue seemed to dissipate. We had a leak within the first couple weeks. Maintenance took care of this. Majority of the outlets were unusable throughout the apartment as our chords would literally fall out of the outlet. A few of them were replaced and worked fine afterwards. This apartment was the first apartment that we had where we felt like we knew everything going on in the apartment above us. We even heard every time they had an 'intimate moment'. They also would "clean" their deck by pouring buckets of water on their deck, which ending up on ours and the one below us, killing all of our plants. At the end of our lease, we were offered to renew our lease at an increase of ~$400."
