"Came to valvoline to get my oil changed and was immediately greeted by Buddy !! When I tell you he is awesome he is awesome ! From the time I pulled up to the time I left. He was real knowledgeable about what he was telling me and really patient with me in trying to take in and understand everything with my car! Thank you buddy for the excellent service provided today !!!! you were great !"
"I went for a simple oil change here because I saw they were giving Military Veterans discounted oil changes for Veterans Day, and got my hood damaged in the process. The associate, Aaron, unbeknownst to me, attempted to close my hood with the prop rod still up. He was pushing on the hood of my car so hard that it caused my car to bounce. Once he got my hood closed, he pressed down on the hood some more, making my car shake some more. The other worker, Akeem looked at my hood too, and said nothing. Aaron and Akeem gave each other a look like something was wrong. I don't know much about cars, so I didn't think much of it since they said my service was done and directed me out of their garage. A couple days later, a friend of mine noticed the hood of my car was damaged and asked me what happened. As soon as I saw the damage I knew right away that, Aaron, did it. I called Vavoline and informed the manager, Oscar, of the damage his employee made to my vehicle. He told me they couldn't do anything until I reported the incident to their customer care line. In the meantime, he would look at video footage of the incident. After making the report, I called Vavoline back. Oscar, said he wanted me to come by so they could look at the damage. I asked him and another associate if they watched the video and they said they couldn't see anything in the video. They could only see, Aaron, struggling to close the hood, which I thought would be enough. Who struggles to close the hood of a car? So, I have to wait another day to hear back from them because they need corporate to send them a zoomed in video. I asked to look at the video footage that they had and was told they couldn't find it now. They're still not taking accountability for anything. I told the manager, Oscar, that no one has even apologized for the damage done to my car, and he still didn't apologize. I'm still in the process of getting this all settled and will update my review once the next steps are made. I have to get quotes from 3 body shops to see how much the damage will cost to be fixed. Fingers crossed that they actually do the right thing."
"I'm happy I finally have a Valvoline close to the house. Went in for an oil change a Friday after work. To my surprise, they weren't busy at all. The employees were very friendly and communicative. Will definitely be back!"
"Staff is not knowledgeable and claimed they could not change my oil due to the seal being too tight and told me to go to the last place I got my oil change for them to fix (which was the Valvoline in Huntersville). I went to that one later in the day and they were able to do the oil change in 10 minutes with no issues. Do not trust this staff as it seem they do not know what they are doing."
"Incompetent and inconsiderate. Absolutely do not bring your vehicle here for service - they'll fail to perform their services correctly, lie to you about any issues, and then refuse to make it right. It cost us $450 to correct their mess. My mother brought her vehicle here for a simple oil change. They changed the oil and she drove it home. The very next day, she gets in her car to find that her check engine light is on. She calls this business, they say "oh there was a slight issue with the cap, no big deal it's fine. It'll burn off" We check the engine light code just to be safe and see several concerning warnings. After calling this place several times to see if they would fix their mistakes and getting brushed off every time, we take it to the dealership. The dealership tells us that engine is basically covered in oil because the oil filter was cracked due to improper installation. $450 to clean and repair. Do not take your vehicle here - it's not worth the cost."
